They say that lightning doesn't strike twice, but it certainly did for Patricia Heaton. Heaton played Debra Barone on the hit series Everybody Loves Raymond for nine seasons (1996–2005). Just a few years after the show ended, she would land on another sitcom for nine seasons portraying Frances "Frankie" Heck on The Middle (2009–2018). Ironically, Heaton had auditioned for the role of Elaine Benes on Seinfeld, which ultimately went to Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Coincidentally, the sitcom Seinfeld also lasted for an equally impressive nine seasons.
