After a series of semi-uneventful days, Luz found solace in her conversation with Eda, realizing that her newfound family on Earth didn't replace her own. Eda's constant reminders and support kept Luz from feeling the need to face challenges alone. And whenever Eda wasn't around, Amity was there by her side, offering unwavering comfort as her incredible girlfriend.

In a quiet moment, Amity pulled Luz aside as she shared every detail of her conversation with Eda. Amity reassured Luz that she would be there for her every step of the journey, even promising to find a way to save Luz's mother if such a possibility existed. The weight of this promise filled Luz's heart with a renewed sense of hope.

Eda had informed her that Raine had attempted to communicate with Luz's mother, even though there had been no response. This setback didn't diminish the belief that her mother could still be saved, that there was a chance for her to return. With Amity's unwavering support and determination, Luz felt a newfound resolve to embark on a mission to save her mother.

"Hey Luz, Eda's partner-" King started.

"Raine is not my partner!" Eda scolded from a distance.

"Eda's partner," King started again, completely ignoring Eda's remark, "is back with two others. Come on!"

"Two others?" Luz questioned before taking off after the tiny cat-, er, demon.

It was still hard to get used to the fact that the cat who would sleep in her room was actually a demon from her dimension.

Luz put the pan down that she was cleaning. To keep busy, she ended up helping in the kitchen with meal prep.

"You okay here, Abel?" She asked the chef.

Abel gave her a thumbs up. "I'm good here, thanks for your help with the dinner!"

Luz gave the kind older man a smile before waving him off. She ran over to where they were going to meet up.

Raine had informed them via messenger crow that Darius and Eberwolf were coming as well.

Luz found her friends and Eda within the group of witches and demons that had gathered for any news that Raine and the two other coven heads. There were many hushed voices talking amongst the crowd.

Amidst the buzz of conversation, Raine's voice boomed, cutting through the noise. "Thank you all for gathering here today."

All eyes focused on Raine who suddenly seemed to have lost their air of confidence. "Uh, we have crucified-, I mean crucial information that we need your attention for." Their tone had a sort of urgency to it, but was lost in their stutter.

Luz could see Darius roll his eyes as he shoved Raine out of the way and took over.

"Listen up! We have more information about the Day of Unity!"

The entire crowd suddenly burst into conversation, all wondering what could have happened. Even Luz was curious. They had just received information not even a week ago. What could have possibly changed for three coven heads the need to explain?

"Ever since the attack on Hexside-" Darius made it a point to look straight at Luz. "The Emperor is not taking more chances!"

Raine stepped up next, seeming a lot more confident. "We are going to split into groups and explain tasks to your individual groups!" They stated with a renewed confidence.

The groups instantly dispersed into their assigned groups, awaiting orders from either Eberwolf, Darius, or Raine.

Luz dragged her friends off to the side, understanding the common protocol of finding a secluded area away from other groups' prying ears.
