Chapter 6- Lights Camera Action!

"Why aren't you letting me come with you to airport?" Manik asked Siya. "Because I don't like to see you feeling bad" Siya said. "But I'm already feeling bad that you are leaving me" Manik said. "Shoot kab start ho raha hai?" Siya asked. "Kuch dino mein! When will your shoot start?" Manik asked. "In a week" she said shortly. Siya then left for airport with Dhruv. Manik felt bad as she left him. Suddenly he felt lonely as his world revolved around her.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure that Manik won't miss you, I'll keep him busy" Dhruv said. "Of course, this phase is going to toughest for both of us, never in these years me and Manik stayed apart" Siya wished that this phase should end soon. "Manik is in his comfort zone, he has to get out of it, he always cared about us, only if I go away he will know the importance of his life" Siya said to Dhruv. "Manik ye dooriyan hume aur paas le aayega" she smiled to herself.

"Hello, I'm in Mumbai, where are you?" Manik heard Aryaman shouting over phone. "I know you're here, didn't the driver drop you home?" Manik asked. "Ye koi jungle mein drop kiya tha mujhe" Aryaman said. "Wait, I'm coming" Manik went to meet Aryaman. "Aate hi tantrums shuru?" Manik asked hugging his friend.

"Tantrums! Tum mujhse mazak kar rahe ho na!" Aryaman asked him. "Kya mazak" Manik didn't get what Aryaman said. "Ye ghar hai! Should I have to stay here?" Aryaman asked looking around the drawing room. "Saaf safayi tho maine kal hi karaaya, do you need anything more?" Manik asked. "Bhai ye ghar nahi bhoot bunglow hai, aas paas koi nahi hai, hardly 5 or 6 houses are occupied, others are all vacant, agar mai yaha mar gaya tho bhi kisiko pata nahi chalega" Aryaman screamed. "City se thoda door nahi, this is outskirt. 1 ghanta lagega mujhe city mein aane ke liye" Aryaman said.

"Even I feel the same because of heavy Mumbai traffic" Manik said. "Now please go and get freshened up, we are going out" Manik asked Aryaman. In a few minutes, Aryaman came and they have started. "How's life?" Manik asked. "Mera chodo Tu batha, how's life?" Aryaman is curious. "Acha hai" Manik said casually. "Because now that your girlfriend is gone!" Aryaman commented. "Oh stop it" Manik didn't pay heed to him. "She didn't stay back even after you asked her to, kaisa girlfriend hai tumhara? I know Manik, girls are like this, sab dhokebaaz" Aryaman said. "Please tum ab shuru mat ho jana, I know how she is!" Manik backed Siya.

Manik didn't concentrate on Aryaman much as he knew he would say that about Siya. Not only Siya, Aryaman has the same opinion on the girls. For him, girls would want boys only for their expenses and boys for their physical needs. He thinks love is their usual term to express their needs. But Manik is a guy who believes that Siya is his eternal love. Their thoughts are poles apart but they are the best friends. Manik got the agreement signed by Aryaman after he had read the script.

"Isme heroine kaun hai?" Aryaman had asked with enthusiasm. "Wo theri behen hogi" Manik said. "Film mein wo meri behen hogi, par shoot ke baad agar try kiya tho meri girlfriend ban jayegi na" Aryaman said. "Ok then, you can try your luck" Manik said. "All set Manik! We will have pooja ceremony tomorrow and then start off the first shooting schedule" Dhruv told Manik and Aryaman. "You can use my car" Manik offered Aryaman. "No, I have rented a car, so don't worry about me" Aryaman said.

"Itni subah pooja kaun rakhte hai yaar!" Navya mumbled. "Shh! Koi sunega'' Cabir covered her up. ''Subah ki 4 baj raha hai Cabir, koi sunega bhi tho kya hua'' Navya gave her counter back. Cabir joined both his hands as a sign to stop her. ''Sab ready hai Manik, shall we start?'' Dhruv asked Manik. ''Par abhi heroine nahi aayi'' Aryaman said. ''Shall we wait for some more time?'' Dhruv asked Manik. ''Pooja hum dono karlenge, wait kyu karna'' Manik objected but then Nandini came. ''There she is!'' Cabir announced as she came. Dhruv suggested her to accompany Manik. She did the same. Manik couldn't take his eyes off her as she stood beside him. Manik didn't try to talk to her as he was busy with Dhruv.

''Hi Nandini, meet our crew and cast'' Cabir welcomed Nandini on board. ''Main Navya, assistant director'' Navya introduced herself to Nandini. ''Nice to meet you'' Nandini shook hands with her. Cabir introduced other members from his team and finally Aryaman. ''Hi, beautiful. I'm Aryaman'' he smiled. Nandini smiled instantly as he called her beautiful. ''I know I'm good at flirting but please don't make it easy for me'' Aryaman said. ''Ok, as you say'' Nandini turned back and she saw Manik in front of her. ''And he is Manik Malhotra'' Aryaman introduced Manik to Nandini. ''I think mujhe introduction ki zarurat nahi hai'' Manik said confidently. ''I'm Nandini'' she extended her hand for a shake but Manik left from there and Aryaman followed him.

''Ladki tho bahut beautiful hai, I think she is best suited for the role too'' Aryaman said excited. ''For your sister's role?'' Manik pissed him off. ''Film mein wo theri lover aur wife role kar rahi hai, anyway she isn't going to be wife'' Aryaman consoled himself. ''Ye sab chodo makeup karwao, its time for first shot'' Manik said. ''Who the hell arranges all these at 4 am in the morning'' Aryaman is annoyed. ''Dhruv does this! he is a strong believer of astrologer, so he will definitely do whatever his astrologer says'' Manik said to Aryaman. Meanwhile Navya made sure the arrangements are done. Nandini got ready. ''What an amazing transformation!'' Navya exclaimed as she saw Nandini. ''You really look so beautiful and flawless'' Navya complimented her. ''Thank you'' Nandini smiled.

''Cabir, everything is ready'' Navya announced. The first shot was only for Manik. Everyone was eagerly waiting for Dhruv's first clap. ''Lights, Camera, Action'' Cabir was excited as he said it on mic for first time. ''Day-1, Shot-1, take-1: Clap'' Dhruv clapped on Manik for the grand start. After Manik enacted the scene, Cabir said, ''cut''. Manik was excited to see the output. ''All Okay?'' Manik asked with his thumbs up, but Cabir came near him. ''Can we have another take?'' Cabir asked politely. Manik didn't expect this. ''Ok, we will do one more'' he agreed. ''Take-2'' Cabir said, ''action'' and Manik again tried to his best. This time Manik clearly understood that Cabir isn't satisfied. Dhruv is also worried that Cabir is not approving of Manik. ''Manik, I have to leave now, you please continue'' Dhruv left for office as he had other work. Everyone is waiting for Cabir to approve the shot.

''Take-15, Action'' Cabir didn't seem to approve Manik at any cost and this triggered Manik.
