Chapter 73- Hide & Seek

Manik's POV:

Dhruv ne mere liye bahut kuch kiya and I don't want to trouble him anymore. He looked shocked as he might not have expected this. ''Manik'' Siya already is in a panic mood. Everyone except me have glued their eyes on me and Dhruv. Nandini was not an exception. ''Let Dhruv make successful films, his job is not to make people successful. Once I become successful, I would ask Dhruv to make a film with me again'' I said. Dhruv had given a tight hug in happiness. Amongst the crowd, I could see Nandini's eyes getting red in anger. I mean red is my favorite color but I don't want her eyes to be red.

''Tumne Dhruv ko na kyu bol diya?'' Nandini asked me when she met me in person. ''I'm a sinking ship Nandini, I don't want Dhruv to be a captain of that ship'' I said to her but she did not look convinced yet. ''Me and Aryaman are leaving tonight'' I said in anticipation of her stopping the fight she wanted to pick up. ''When is the flight?'' she asked me. ''No, no you must be very tired today, so don't even try to think of coming to airport'' I said. She did not reply but smiled in an unusual way. This seems to be her new trait as I never saw her smiling like this before. ''Tum dono yaha kya kar rahe ho?'' Aryaman asked when I was with Nandini. She panicked for a moment but it was her who responded before I can. ''How can I send off Manik without thanking him for the farmhouse?'' she said. ''Of course, thanks tho bolna hi padega'' Aryaman said smiling. ''Aryaman I'm thinking to throw a party for house warming, wahi discuss kar rahi hu Manik ke saath'' she said. ''Manik tho wapas aa jaayega par main tumhara party miss karne wala hu'' Aryaman said.

I have asked Nandini not to come but I wished that she is here before I leave. Me and Aryaman came early to the airport. Nandini, getting her back is the biggest miracle in my life. I never thought that I'll be so happy until I knew Nandini loved me too. She is the light in my darkness. Our wedding might not be a perfect one, but me and Nandini, we both will try to make it perfect. ''Chup ke chupke has kyu rahe ho?'' and there he is, Aryaman caught me smiling. ''Kuch nahi, I did not wish to come to India but everything seemed so right after coming back'' I said. ''Maybe you guys have a heart to heart connection, there comes your ladylove'' he said smiling. Did Nandini come here? I turned back but I saw Siya there. ''Tum kyu aayi ho, isn't it too late?'' I asked her. ''Not too late that I couldn't see you off'' she said. ''Why did you deny Dhruv's offer?'' now Siya is also asking the same question. ''Siya, let me re-establish myself first. I don't want to hear from everyone that Manik will survive only if Dhruv helps him. Pehle aisa nahi tha, me and Dhruv, we were equals and now if I think I'm equal to Dhruv. I will ask Dhruv to work with me'' I said.

''Hi'' I turned to see as I heard Nandini's voice. ''Tum yaha?'' I was extremely happy to see her. ''Where is Aryaman?'' she asked about him looking at me. ''Ab tak yahi tha'' Siya said and we found Aryaman at a distance from us and I waved at him to come. He came and hugged Nandini. ''I didn't knew you will really come, main tho mazaak kar raha tha'' he said. ''Tum jaa rahe ho tho mujhe aana hi pada'' she said. Am I missing something about Aryaman and Nandini. They seem to be in a cold war. We chatted for sometime but did not get any time to speak with Nandini personally. Siya got a call from Dhruv and only we three were there. Nandini then made an excuse to move away hinting me to meet her. I've also made an excuse to Aryaman to see her. ''I have asked you not to come, then why are you here?'' I asked her making sure that no one is seeing her. She suddenly held the collar of my shirt and stood on her toes and it surprised me. In no time, she pecked on my lips. ''Mujhse miley bina chale joage?'' she asked me. ''I'll not go anywhere nor I will let you go anywhere'' I kissed on her forehead. 

She hugged me and I understood how badly she want me to stay back. ''I will come back in 2 weeks, please mere liye wait karna'' I said hugging her back as tight as I could. Nandini could only reach till my heart when I hug her. Her warm tears has left a mark on my shirt near the chest. I pulled her near me holding her waist. ''It was never physical attraction towards you Nandini, you've misunderstood me. I love you. I love you so so much'' I told her. The fact that Nandini thought I was only physically attracted to her had actually killed me inside. ''I love you so much Manik'' she said. ''Now that we're husband and wife, cheers Mrs. Malhotra'' I said as I smooched on her neck. Her grip on my collar got firm and she dug her nails on my shoulder. What Nandini did after that came as surprise to me. She took over my lower lip and nibbled on it. We were in no mood to let go off it and I deepened the kiss. Feeling suffocated, she broke the kiss.

''Feeling short of breath?'' I asked her. She nodded yes. ''It was you who initiated the kiss Nandini, you can't back off now'' I said pulling her more closer. I planted wet kisses on her neck and her off-shoulder top made my job more easier than I could think. The sexual tension was thick in the air and Nandini surely know how to increase it. She let out a moan and I locked her lips to suppress any more. ''Manik, stop!'' she said trying to release herself. ''Tum aise behave kar rahi ho jaise tumhe koi shock laga'' I said. ''Shock laga nahi, lagne wali hai agar Aryaman and Siya find us in this state'' she said and I looked back to see that they seem to search for us. ''Let them find out, hume kuch bolne ki zarurat nahi hai'' I said. ''Manik, you promised me that you won't tell about us to anyone'' she reminded. ''My dear wifey, if you remember exactly, the clause is that I shouldn't tell it anyone, they can find out if they see us'' I said. ''Manik, no'' she behaved weird. 

''They can't see us like this'' she said. ''Why do you want to keep it a secret then? Pehle sabko weird lagega but eventually this is the truth and they must accept it'' I tried to convince her. I can't give Siya false hopes any more and she has to move on from me. Aryaman ko bhi ye maan na hi hoga. ''We will tell them some day but not now'' she insisted. ''But I wanted to know the reason. Why do you want to keep it a secret? Is that like you are afraid of someone? Tell me'' I asked her. ''Manik, please leave me, they might come here anytime'' she was tensed. ''No, I'm not gonna leave you until you tell me'' I was stubborn. I pulled her near me again. ''Please Manik understand, main kuch risk nahi lena chahti'' she tried to release herself. ''What risk?'' I asked her.

''I can't risk my career now, I would like to enjoy my stardom for now'' she said and that was enough to free her.
