Chapter 11- Harsh Truth

Manik couldn't hold his anger. Nandini was all lost in her thoughts. Aryaman seemed to be in his own world. Nandini's chain of thoughts were broke by a phone call from Rohan. "Hi Nandini, how are you?" he spoke from the other side. "I'm fine, how are you?" Nandini formally asked. "I'm fine, I'm able to sit now. Feeling suffocated amidst these walls" he said. Nandini felt moved by his condition. "Don't worry, you will get well soon" Nandini said.

"Nandini" she had cut the call as Navya called her. "Tum tho aaj kamaal kar diya, how could you cry without glycerin?" Navya asked and Nandini let out a lifeless smile. "When you feel it with your heart, you can do it" she said. "Kal tumhe bahut bura laga hoga na, Manik sir ne bahut kuch sunaya" Navya felt sorry for her. "That is his point of view, I cannot change his opinion" Nandini said. "But you should prove yourself na" Navya didn't agree with Nandini. "No Navya, you can't please everyone" Nandini said. "But when we don't do anything, why should we take the blame?" Navya's words seems to have put sense in Nandini's brain.

"Yeah, you're right" Nandini's face lit up and she asked Navya instantly. "Navya, could you please cover up for me if Cabir asks" Nandini made a cute face. "What are you doing?" Navya had no idea what she would do. "I'm going out on a work and I may come back in few hours, please can you cover up for me?" Nandini asked. "No Nandini, please don't ask. Cabir will kill me if he comes to know. Manik sir, God knows what he will do. Tumne dekha na kal usne kya kaha?" Navya was terrified.

"Thank you so much Navya" Nandini left from there and Navya is in a fix. Nandini left to meet Rohan. "I should ask Rohan about Tara" she determined. That was the first time Nandini going to Rohan's place. She parked her car in front of their gate. She thought watchman will not let her go but to her surprise he didn't say anything and opened the gate. Nandini is a bit surprised. She knocked on the door and a lady in her late 20's opened the door. Nandini looked at her keenly. She wore a blue net saree with a sleeveless blouse. Her hair rested on her shoulder. "Excuse me?" the lady asked Nandini.

"Uh, I'm here to meet Rohan" she said and that lady let Nandini enter inside. She asked Nandini to wait in lounge until they inform Rohan about her. She sent a servant to Rohan to inform that someone has come to meet him. She also asked her to get some water for Nandini. After few minutes, she asked Nandini to go and meet him. "Hi Rohan!" Nandini greeted him. "Nandini, is it you? I didn't expect you" he said with a smile. "Mera shoot aaj cancel hua tho I thought I should meet you" she lied to him. "You said you were feeling bored so I thought you will need me" she said again. "Thank you for coming over Nandini" he said.

"You have a beautiful house Rohan" she complimented him. "This was all designed by my mom when she was there. It's her dream home" he said remembering her. "Beautiful and lavish, but only 3 of you stay here na, you, your sister and your father" she asked him making her first move. "My sister and jiju live in New York. She is coming tonight, she has to look over papa for few days as I'm not in a position to look after myself" he self pitied himself. "Who is that lady I met just now'' Nandini asked. ''Leave about it, we shouldn't be discussing her here'' Rohan dismissed the topic and she could understand that there is something wrong but she can't be desperate now. She wants to talk to the lady to know if she is Tara or not but is stuck with Rohan. After spending some time with Rohan, she asked him to take rest. She goes inside kitchen to have water but can't see that lady. ''Are you looking for something?'' Nandini heard her voice as she searched for her. ''No, water'' she said. ''Tara, I want to talk to you'' Nandini said doubtfully. Tara is startled to hear Nandini. ''How do you know me? What you want to talk'' Tara asked.

Nandini is elated as she is succeeded in her mission to find Tara. ''You might not know me, but I wanted to know about you'' Nandini said. Tara nodded her head and asked Nandini to say. ''Not here, please call me when you are outside'' Nandini took Tara's phone suddenly and typed her number. ''This is my number, please call me'' she said while leaving. ''But hello who are you'' Tara is confused. ''Aryaman ki friend'' Nandini didn't see Tara and left from there. She hoped Tara will call her. Now she is worried to reach the set on time. Her worst nightmare is waiting for her in the form of Manik. She couldn't speak a word on seeing a fierce Manik. ''Why did you leave uninformed miss Nandini Murthy'' he asked in a high pitched tone which scared her. ''I had to leave for an emergency'' she mumbled. Manik lowered to Nandini's height. ''Highness, if you don't have any emergencies for the rest of the day, can we please shoot?'' Manik was sarcastic. ''I'm sorry'' she could hardly meet his eyes. Manik suddenly held her hand and Nandini looked sharp at Manik. 

''Don't you know that you shouldn't go out'' he gritted his teeth. Flashes of what Aryaman has told him appeared in front of him for a moment. ''I'm not your slave here and nobody can stop or teach me what I should do! My call sheet is for my acting not for you to control my life'' Nandini replied back. Manik found her arrogant as she answered him back and left her wrist. He found her wincing in pain as he left her. He immediately wanted to apologize her but something in him stopped from doing so. Manik was always a soft person to everyone who know him. Nobody would ever believe Nandini if she said that Manik misbehaved with her. Navya came to Nandini as she saw Manik's behavior with Nandini. ''Kaha gayi tum, Manik sir came just when you left, I tried to call you many times but it never connected'' Navya told her. ''It's okay Navya, he can't do more than this'' Nandini said. ''Should I get an ointment for you?'' Navya is concerned. ''No need, itna bhi zyada nahi hua'' Nandini said. 

''Tumne jo kaam ke liye gayi, wo hua?'' Navya asked her. ''Almost ho gaya, but nahi hua'' Nandini is doubtful if Tara will call her or not. ''Kaha gayi ab tak'' Navya asked her again. ''Rohan Srivastava ke ghar'' she said. ''Wahi na jiske accident ke wajhe se shoot halt ho gaya'' Navya felt bad for Nandini. ''Ha, I never went home to see him after his spine surgery, I thought I should go'' Nandini explained herself. ''Ye industry ki aisi hai na Nandini, accident uska par nuksaan tumhara bhi. Uski wajhe se sab log ab tumhe iron leg heroine bolega'' Navya was sad about the harsh reality. ''Nahi Navya, uski koi galti nahi hai, Rohan is sweet'' Nandini said. 

''Galti meri hai, I have pushed him down the cliff that day, so that wo movie postpone ho jaye'' Nandini felt guilty. ''What! You pushed him and caused that accident'' Aryaman is shocked to know her truth.
