Chapter 84- Blackmail

Manik's POV:

''I can't believe that you both are married but Manik ye baat chupana itna aasaan nahi hai'' Cabir said it as a warning. ''Ha I know that we can't hide it any longer but Cabir ye disclose karna bhi humare liye aasaan nahi hoga'' I said. ''Is it because of Siya?'' he asked. ''She is a reason but besides her, we have many other reasons too. Nandini needs to focus on her career, mujhe bhi ab serious ho na hi hai. And now Rohan has also added to my list'' I said. ''What's with Rohan?'' Cabir asked. ''I don't even like his vibe. He proposed Nandini and even though she declined him, usne apne tarike nahi badal diya. And both Siya and Nandini are constantly supporting him'' I said. ''That is because you are jealous of him'' Cabir didn't consider me seriously. ''You know what, he said to Siya that Nandini said yes to him'' I said. ''How can Nandini say yes to him? Maybe Siya didn't heard him right'' Cabir said. ''No, Siya clearly said that Rohan and Nandini are a couple and Rohan himself told her so'' I said. 

''This means either Siya or Rohan are lying. Siya doesn't know anything about me or Nandini so there is no chance that she could be lying. I highly doubt Rohan of his intentions'' I said. ''May be you are thinking so much about him, leave him'' Cabir said. I tried calling Siya many times that day but she did not picked up any of my calls. This is so strange that she did this. I decided to check on her and Nandini came then. ''Are you happy now?'' she asked me. ''Kya hua?'' I asked her. ''You have wanted me to tell everyone about us, now that I've told them, are you happy now?'' she asked. ''Cabir aur Navya ko batane ya na batane se kuch farq nahi padega. I still don't understand why do you want to hide about ourselves. Agar koi problem hai tho mo mujhe hona chahiye. I have many things to deal Nandini, mujhe mere family ko explain karna hai. How will I say my mom that I'm already married? Siya and me, we were together since years and I should tell her that we can't be together. I don't want anyone to think that I'm still with her. Everyone will think I'm the one who is hiding it'' I said. 

Nandini looked pale. I took her in my arms. ''Manik, mujhe samaj mein nahi aa raha hai ki main kya kar rahi hu'' she said. ''No matter what Nandini, I will never leave your hand. Let's end this drama in our life'' I said. ''You will be in a big danger Manik, Dhruv hume kabhi chain se nahi jeene dega'' she said. ''What! Dhruv?'' I asked her. ''Yes, you wanted to know the reason na, it is because of Dhruv I'm afraid to tell anyone about our wedding'' she said. ''Dhruv ne kuch kaha tum se?'' I asked her. ''No, Dhruv is the one behind you getting banned and he tried to end your career only to take revenge on me. Ye sab usne isliye kiya to keep Siya out of that award scandal'' she said. ''Just imagine what he would have done with our lives if he knew that we are together!'' she said. Nandini trembled in fear and I saw her as my support system. ''So, you were doing all this just to protect us from Dhruv'' I asked with a sign of relief. ''Aur nahi tho kya. Why do you look so calm? I thought you would break if you know about Dhruv isliye main tumhe kabhi ye nahi bataya'' she said. 

''Main tho tabhi toot gaya when I came to know about it'' I said. ''Matlab you already know about it'' she looked shocked when I nodded yes. ''But why did you not tell me all of this before? Ye sab pata hai tho ab bhi tum uske saath kyu ho?'' she asked. ''Nandini, please listen to me. When I suggested that Siya should be receiving the best actress award, Aryaman aur Cabir dono mujhe rokhne ki koshish kiya saying that I'm wrong but it was only Dhruv that supported me. I've talked to the jury and changed your name in the updated awarded list. But when you said Siya about it, Dhruv did the most unexpected thing. I myself heard that he wanted damage control and the only idea is to gain sympathy. Dhruv ne khud mujhe ban karne ka idea propose kiya and if it backfires he would have filed a defamation case against you'' I said. ''My presence in your life was a threat to you Nandini. I cannot afford to hurt you again. Isliye maine chup chaap Siya ke saath chala gaya. Being with Siya, I realized I never loved her ever. Main kabhi tumhare paas wapas aana nahi chahta tha but I was forced to come back because of Dhruv's wedding'' I said.

''And then you also knew how indifferent Dhruv was with Alya. Dhruv can do anything to protect his fame and power'' I said. ''Dhruv ne ye sab karte jaa raha hai and you're letting him do all these things even when you know all of it'' she said. ''I don't know why but all of a sudden Dhruv ne mujhpe ban lift kar diya, usne khud mujhe ek nayi project bhi offer kiya hai. You wanted to know why I rejected his offer, this is the reason. He pushed me down, he helped me get up and he will again become great making me hero from a zero'' I said. ''You knew everything and still kept silent when the whole world was against me. Abhi bhi tum Dhruv ke baare mein hi soch rahe ho. I thought you didn't know anything Manik but you are hopeless'' she said. I didn't know Nandini knew about Dhruv and I didn't want her to panic but Nandini ko shayad bura laga hoga and she went off. I should make sure what Siya and Alya are safe. Kyu Alya Siya ko itni urgently ghar bulaya?

Nandini's POV:

Dhruv was the only barrier between me and Manik. I thought I was protecting Manik from Dhruv but I made a fool out of myself. Sab kuch jaan ne ke baad bhi Manik still backed up Dhruv. I feel so cheated by Manik. Rohan called me then and I answered his call. ''Nandini kya tum abhi mere farmhouse aa sakti ho?'' he asked. ''No, I'm not fine Rohan, I can't come now'' I was about to cut his call but he took my name again. ''Nandini, I'm sure you wouldn't want to miss this surprise. This is going to change your life'' he said. I was in mood for this but then he pleaded me like never before. Rohan never forced me like this. I agreed with him on his insistence. 

He texted me his farmhouse address and I went there. It was totally lit up with fairy lights in the garden. ''Is there any occasion here? Why did you call me'' I asked him. ''I love you Nandini'' he said. This is the last thing I would want to listen from Rohan today. ''Rohan hum ne already iske baare mein discuss kiya hai. I don't love you, please understand me'' I said trying to be as calm as I can. ''Baar baar mujhe reject kar ke wo Manik ko kaise approve kar diya tum ne'' he said and I was beyond shocked. ''Don't be so shocked, tum mere car mein apni wallet bhul gayi kal raat, when I came to give it back, Manik was already there. I wondered how did you manage to buy Manik's farmhouse so easily. Nevertheless, uske farmhouse kya, tum jaise aurat tho kuch bhi kar sakte hai'' he said. ''Rohan, mind your language'' I said. ''Agar meri language se tumhe problem ho rahi hai tho main tumhe apni language mein samjhaunga. I will also write this farmhouse in your name, just tell me the price'' he said. I didn't thought for a second moment before slapping him.

''How dare you to ask me this?'' I was so hurt listening to his comment. ''Nandini, I had loved you with all my heart but you still fell for Manik who didn't even care for you. Damn it, if Manik hadn't closed the door last night, I'm sure you would have got a HD video of your affair with him'' he said. Then I was right last night when I felt that someone was actually watching us. ''How on earth Manik decided to cheat on Siya, that too for you'' he said. He came near me and held my hands. ''Did I ever misbehaved with you? Did I ever force myself on you? No, never because I knew you would be mine at the end, but your nasty affair with that Manik pissed me off Nandini. I want you to be mine. I don't care if you have slept with anyone before. I just want you'' Rohan happened to me as the biggest nightmare of my life. ''Rohan, please leave me, let me go. Please'' I pleaded with him. ''Kya karogi agar chod diya tho, Manik se mere shikayat karogi?'' he asked with a smirk. 

''Baby, do you think I will force you to be mine. No, you should come all by yourself. Manik ko mat batana please, its for both of your safety. Tumhare chakkar mein bewajha wo barbaad ho jayega. Just don't tell him about us. Please be here tomorrow, first night se zyada mujhe day pasand hai, kisi ko koi shaq nahi hoga'' he said. ''I would definitely tell this to Manik'' I said. ''Tho main ye sab ko bataunga ki you are having an affair with him. Simple, wo tho already ban hua tha and ab uska career humesha ke liye close hoga. You don't even have anyone in your life, I wanted to be the only option for you'' he tried to threaten me. ''I thought you are my life Nandini, but you cheated me'' he said and broke the table beside him. I was frightened looking at his madness. ''Ab ghar jao, so jao. Don't let anyone sleep with you tonight. Get ready tomorrow for breakfast and come back. Your breakfast will be ready here'' he said kissing my palms. I took my hands back and he dragged me till my car and opened the driver seat. ''I would love to see you here tomorrow morning, bye sweet heart'' he said.

No, I should not let Rohan do this, Nandini please think of something and act quickly.
