Chapter 27- What's Next

Nandini's POV:

What did he think he is saying? Kehna tho sab ke liye bahut hi aasaan hai, Manik can't even say anything that hurts his family or Siya. If Manik was in Sid's place, I think he won't even come out like Sid did. ''What! You don't believe me?'' he asked. ''Not like that, ye break up nahi Sid and me, we mutually decided to get separated, aur kabhi na milne ki waada bhi kiya'' I said remembering that eventful day when I last met him. Mere liye Sid sirf ek good memory hai aur kuch nahi. I hope hum phir kabhi na miley. ''Is it your turn again?'' I asked and he nodded yes. Should I ask Manik about Siya? Did he really mean that he doesn't love her! ''Hello, are you asking me something?'' he asked me. ''Yeah, tell me something about your first love?'' I asked him. ''Siya hi tho hai mera first love. Pehla pyaar tho sab ke liye sweet memory hota hai, and I'm too lucky to have her as my life partner'' he said. ''So, when is your marriage?'' I asked him. ''Abhi shaadi ke baare mein nahi soch raha hu main, for now, we are focused on our career'' he said formally like he always said in all press interviews.

''Phir tumne aise kyu kaha ki tum aur Siya khush nahi reh paoge if you marry each other'' I dared to ask him finally. I could see his facial expression change in a moment. ''I never said that'' he said in a calm tone but I could sense he is not okay. ''but you told me that night, that you can never keep her happy if she marry you'' I don't know if Manik would accept this. ''Let's not go there please, it will be better if you cut it off here'' he said in a serious tone. But how will I know if it is true or not! Manik didn't speak for a while and just like that I fell from the chair. Ouch! how did I fell off. Manik leisurely moved from his place and gave his hand for me. ''Get up'' he said. ''Ab kya hua?'' I asked him as I had no clue how I fell down. ''That's why you shouldn't sleep in chair, aise hi gir jaogi'' he said. ''I'm feeling sleepy, I should sleep now'' I said. ''Come, sleep here'' he showed the couch to sleep on. I slept on the couch and Manik sat on the chair. I closed my eyes but had a weird feeling that someone is looking at me. I opened my eyes only to find Manik staring at me. ''Why are you looking at me?'' I asked. ''Nothing casual, only you are here'' he said. ''But I feel like I'm in a horror movie, I feel like I'm being watched by someone'' I said.

''What should I do then?'' Manik asked. ''Don't look at me'' I said and shut my eyes as tight as I can. I didn't know when did I fall asleep. After what seemed a sound sleep I woke up fresh. I feel like floating in the air. It's true that sleeping is really a blessing, I feel pity for Manik as he couldn't sleep. I could feel every inch of my body freely floating in the air. I woke up and opened my eyes. I could feel Manik's gaze fixed on me. But why is he standing so close to me. ''Good morning'' I wished him but he looked at me like I'm an alien. Is everything okay with him. I tried to move and then I felt I was caught by two hands. The grip stiffened as I tried to move any further. I looked around and suddenly realized that I'm actually in the air as Manik caught me. ''Manik, put me down'' I screamed. ''You really need to get rid of this habit of rolling on the bed while you are asleep'' he said seriously. ''What?'' I don't know what is he saying. ''This is the third time you were about to fall off from that couch, every time I had to catch you and put back to bed'' he said irritated. ''Sorry, I didn't realize it, maybe I was too much sleepy last night'' I apologized him. ''It's okay, now go and get freshened up'' he said. ''Where is Aryaman?'' I asked him as I saw the patient bed empty. ''He got up, so nurse had taken him for an X-ray, he will be discharged today'' he said.

I went to washroom to get freshened up. Aryaman came back as I came out. ''Ab kaisa hai Aryaman?'' I asked him. ''Thank you so much Nandini, agar tum nahi hoti tho'' Aryaman said but he was cut off by Manik. ''Agar ye nahi hoti tho, tum chup chap ghar jaakar so jaata tha'' Manik was again back to his rude mode. Why is he so unpredictable and ye mujhe bolta hai ki main unpredictable hu. ''Aryaman, main ghar jaa raha hu, are you coming with me or going home with your friend?'' I glared at Manik while I beckoned Aryaman. ''Of course tumhare saath aaunga'' he seems to understand my code language. Did Manik not liked me asking about Siya? I thought for a minute but I can't un-ask him what I have already asked him. I safely dropped Aryaman at his place after he got discharged. Manik stayed back there as Mukti will discharged late. May be he might be late to the set today. ''I really like this place very much'' I said to Aryaman as I dropped him there. ''Yes, it feels so peaceful and lively, I love this place too, calm and vivid'' he said. There is a vibe in that place. ''If I had enough money, I would love to build my dream home like this'' I said. ''Ok, I wish you that your wish should come true'' he said. ''Ok bye, take rest, I will come in the evening to see you and I'll send food, please baahar ka khana mat khao'' I said. ''Ok madam sahiba, I'll follow your rules until I'm sick'' he said.

I rushed to the set as I was already late but anyhow Manik and Aryaman are not there. I couldn't find Cabir anywhere on set and that seems trouble. I looked for Navya and found her finally. ''Is Cabir not here?'' I asked her. ''He went to meet Dhruv sir in the office, schedule change hone wala hai'' she said. ''Agle schedule kab hai?'' I asked her. ''Kab nahi kaha ye poocho? Kashmir mein'' she said excited. ''Oh, that's good'' I was excited as Navya told me. After some time, me and Navya saw Manik and Cabir back on sets. ''Probably they are discussing about Kashmir schedule'' Navya guessed. ''Ho sakta hai'' I said as they came closer. ''I think hume ye schedule 2 days postpone karna chahiye Aryaman is not well, he needs rest'' Manik said. ''Sure Manik, that should not be a problem, aur kuch tayyarian karenge hum'' Cabir replied. ''Nandini you can take an off for few days'' Cabir said to me. I didn't understand what he said. ''Why?'' I asked him. ''Jab tak Kashmir ki schedule pura nahi hoga tab tak tum break le lena, it will take 15 days roughly'' he said.

''So Nandini is not coming to Kashmir?'' Navya asked Cabir. ''No, iss schedule mein Nandini ke scenes nahi hai'' Manik answered Navya.
