lilah's pov;

The festival had just finished wrapping up, Kali was the last one to go on, playing songs off her albums Isolation and Por Vida. She ended the festival with her song In My Dreams off Isolation, it was the perfect ending if you ask me. We all started heading towards the car as she walked off the stage.

"Did you drive here?" I asked Ashton, we were walking holding hands. Sydney and Ethan were doing the same a bit in front of us.
"Yeah." There was a pause before he spoke again. "Would you like to come back with me? Or were you planning on riding with them?" He asked.
"Well, I didn't know you were coming," I laughed. "But I can go with you." He smiled.
"I'd like that." I smiled back.
"Thank you for coming by the way. It was seriously unexpected but I'm glad it did because I was thinking that whole time like, man I wish he was here." I told him.
"That's sweet." I squeezed his hand. "There's just moments of yours that I don't want to miss."
"How sweet." Sydney teased, I stuck my tongue out at her.
"You shush." I teased back. We got to the cars and Sydney turned around to see if I was following along. I motioned her to just go, she shrugged and then got inside. Ashton and I started walking away after waving. "So I told Sydney about my plans for the summer." I began telling him.
"Aw man, how'd she take it?" He asked, I sighed.
"Not good to be honest." He gave me a frowned look. "We've been getting," I irked a bit. "really close in the last couple of months or weeks or whatever so it's going to be hard."
"Well, why don't you ask her to go with you?"
"Because I'm already going with you?" I said and rolled my eyes.
"I know, but I can always go another time." He said and nudged me playfully.
"Listen, I really don't want to talk about this right now anymore, I just know it's going to start something and I'm not in the mood for it." I told him as I put my hand on the door handle.
"Geez okay. It was just a suggestion, I'd still rather go anyways. I'm sorry."
"Its fine Ash, it's just a conversation for another time. I just wanted to tell you that I told her." He nodded and started the car, we left soon after. The ride back was pretty quiet considering I fell asleep. It wasn't even my intention to, I just couldn't process everything that just happened in the last couple hours plus have conversations on what ever Ashton thought was important.

later that night;

Ashton and I had just finished eating dinner, he had taken me to a really nice place that he had to get reservations for. I smiled at the fact that I was even worth that.

"Thank you for this. You're amazing Ash." I told him, he grabbed my hand from across the table.
"No, thank you, for coming out with me. I know it's not over yet but I hope you had a great birthday." We both smiled.
"I did, thank you." He squeezed my hand.
"So there's something I've been meaning to ask you." I nodded eagerly. "We've been seeing each other for a little while and I think it's time we made it official?" I could feel myself start to blush. A million thoughts just ran through my head at the same time. He's asking me to be his girlfriend, I'm finally getting what I wanted all along with him but now this changes everything that goes on with Sydney and I. It's not like she really cared about the fact that she's been dating Ethan since we've been hooking up, but I'm not like that. When I'm in a relationship with someone, I can't cheat, I don't cheat, I won't cheat. "You there?" He asked, pulling me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah, sorry. I just, I got lost in thought."
"Good thoughts I hope?"
"Of course."
"Soo, what do you say? Would you like to be my girlfriend?" He asked again.
"No." His facial expression changed so fast. "I'd love to." He started smiling again, I squeezed his hand to give him reassurance. But really I feel like I'm the one who needs it.

cate's pov;

"Go ahead girl." My friend Kira said, as she passed me the tray with the lines already made. I snorted two before passing the tray. I wiped my nose and sniffled a bit before falling back into the couch, Kira did the same. "Girl you're getting so much better at this, it doesn't fuck you up anymore."
"That's a good thing." I winked at her.
"Your boyfriend doesn't know you do this does he? Or is he a chill ass?" She asked.
"Fuck no he doesn't, mans is in rehab for alcohol addiction. He'd probably dump my ass if he knew I did coke."
"Shh, he doesn't have to knoww." Kira slurred. We started laughing a lot and I was running my fingers through her hair little by little.
"Boyfriend?" Johnny asked as he took a seat across from us. We've all been hanging out in this trap house almost, they call it The Ravine. I met Kira online a while ago and we've been hanging out since, she introduced me to Johnny and his friends and some, other things but anywho. It's been chill as fuck, we do this shit everyday. Caspar thinks I'm out at the library or a cafe doing my coursework. I honestly haven't touched it in almost two weeks, and Joe just thinks I'm at home all the time, it's like a double life.
"No, just my friend." I said to Johnny, he shot me a smirk and I bit my lip.
"Johnny's trying to hit girlll." Kira said as she turned towards me and grabbed my face. I pulled her closer to whisper in her ear.
"Well let's let him." I whispered, she laughed. I patted her leg before getting up, she smacked my butt as I walked over to Johnny. "You free?" I asked, I bit my lip again as I took his hand.
"For you, yes. Let's go somewhere a bit more private."
"Lead the way." He got up from the couch and we started heading for the stairs.

shortly after;

"Thanks for that." Johnny said from the other side of the bed, I had just finished slipping my leggings back on. I turned over to look at him before I put my sweatshirt over my head, I flashed him a smirk.
"Don't mention it."
"No, you don't mention this to that boyfriend of yours." He winked back. I got up and started heading for the door. I smirked to myself before opening the door, I didn't say anything back before I walked out. I threw my hair into a better ponytail and reached the downstairs.
"Hey girl." Kira said and reached for my hand.
"Hey, I'm gonna head out, told my brother I'd be home for dinner." She rolled her eyes with a smile.
"Alright, alright. You want one for the road?" She asked, I looked down and saw her stacking up some more lines. I smiled at her and nodded. "Okay bye girl." I gave her a hug and then a little peck.
"Luv you." We said at the same time.

I started walking home, it was about a 15 minute walk from here. I put my headphones in and slipped my hood on. I let myself indulge in the music before I got to my front door. I sighed, taking out one airpod and walking inside.

"Hey. You're just in-time to eat." Caspar said, he smiled at me.
"I'll eat in a little." I replied and kept on walking till I got to my room. I quickly plopped down and got under my blankets, soon I fell asleep.
