Chapter 7 - Going Further

After they broke apart, Simon wiped away Ethan's tears and smiled at him. Ethan gave a little smile back before looking away from Simon's gaze. "So..." He quietly said. "So." Simon chuckled back. Ethan looked back up at Simon who was smiling. What was going to happen now? Ethan looked down again and blushed as he realised he was going through a very awkward moment.

Simon coughed. "Uhhh, you wanna hang out later?" Ethan wondered for a bit. Was Simon asking this because he wanted more then a friendship? Or did he just want to leave this awkward moment? Ethan couldn't get his head past what had just happened. "Uhh, yeah. Sure." He slowly replied. He looked up at Simon to see he now looked nervous too. "A'ight, cool." Simon said as he nodded. He looked away from Ethan and blushed slightly.

"I'd better go then..." Ethan stammered before making his way to the door. Just as he opened it, Simon grabbed him by the arm and stopped him. "Wait." Ethan turned around to face Simon who looked anxious. "You wanna play Fifa?" Ethan smiled at Simon's question, "yeah." Simon smiled back at his reply as Ethan walked towards the TV and sat down, looking cute as ever.

He took in Ethan's cute, little, button nose and small lips. The way he was so short and tiny. So cute. He remembered his adorable laugh and the way he would swear in frustration. He smiled, this boy meant a lot to him.

"Well?" Ethan asked, a controller in his hand. Simon shook himself from his thoughts and realised he was staring at Ethan, but he was happy about it. "Imma beat yo ass!" He said as he sat down next to Ethan. "Hah! We'll see about that fuck nugget!" Ethan laughed back.

For the next two weeks, Ethan and Simon were stuck to each other like glue; always hanging out together. They would take every chance to hug each other and sometimes even hold hands in secret. They would take every chance to spend some time together and openly flirted in front of the Sidemen, of course, they used to do this before; but now it was real. The rest of the Sidemen would always tease them, but they didn't care anymore.

"Hey, um, I was thinking... Do you wanna, maybe... Go Nando's? You know, just us two?" Simon asked nervously. They were playing Fifa as usual and Simon had paused the game. "Yeah, that would be cool." Ethan replied. He smiled at the TV as he realised Simon wanted to go on a date - they were dating!

"Cool. So... Friday?" Simon asked, sounding quite relieved. "Friday." Ethan replied. Simon smiled as he resumed the game. They were going on a date.
