Chapter 15 - A Broken Friendship

Simon yelled as he smashed a flowerpot onto JJ's Lamborghini and kicked in one of its window. The alarm went off as Simon grabbed Ethan's hand and went to his own car. They waited until JJ appeared outside, screaming as he saw his wrecked car. As JJ turned around and saw the couple in Simon's car, Simon drove off, leaving the Sidemen house and his long friendship with JJ behind.

"Where are we going?" Ethan quietly said as they drove down the road. "Park." Simon replied, gripping the steering wheel. Ethan couldn't help but be afraid as Simon drove faster. He was really angry, the way his jaw was clenched showed how he wanted to beat someone up really bad and there were nail marks from where he was holding the steering wheel.

They parked in front of the park and went in, Simon walking fast with Ethan following behind. The cold wind hit Ethan but it was relaxing on the mark on his face. He touched it slowly and it stung. JJ's slap had been really hard, as well as the punch which Ethan had started to feel as he moved his face. They both sat on swings, slowly rocking back and forth. Neither of them spoke for a while. They just stared into the distance, remembering what had just happened. Would Simon and JJ ever be friends again? What about the others? Were they still friends with them?

"Is your face ok?" Simon suddenly asked, causing Ethan to shake out of his thoughts. "Yeah." Ethan nodded.

"Are you sure? The bleeding's stopped but it's red and irritated."

"I think all of us are like that at the moment."

"Yeah." Simon chuckled.

"Is your belly ok?" Ethan asked, looking concerned. Simon lifted his top a little to reveal red shoe marks and bruises on his stomach. "Oh my god, Simon." Ethan got up and stood in front of Simon who let go of his top and looked up at him. He pulled Ethan closer and crossed his legs behind him so Ethan was stuck between his legs.

"I want you to forget everything that dick said, ok? He's no one to us." He quietly said, wrapping his arms around Ethan who was hugging him. "Ok." Ethan quietly replied into his ear.

"No one can tell us we can't be together. It doesn't matter whether we're gay or not. I love you and I always will." Simon said as he hugged Ethan tighter. "I love you too Simon." Ethan returned. He rested his head against Simon's shoulder. Simon said it didn't matter that they were gay - but the fact that they were had affected them really badly. Simon had lost one of his best friends - one he had known for a really long time and had a great friendship with.

"Is it ok if I stay at yours for a while? I should be able to get somewhere to stay in a few days." Simon said as he let Ethan go from his tight grip. "Yeah, you can stay as long as you like." Ethan replied as he pulled Simon up from the swing. "Thanks bae." Simon kissed Ethan's cheek before holding his hand and leaving the park with him.
