Chapter-14

Author's POV

Rose shook her head in a no, multiple times. Chase was angry but he didn't want to spoil this moment by screaming at her. He knew how to get her to listen, to obey. He doesn't have to scream or shout at her.

He was about to say something but her phone started ringing. Both of them looked towards her purse. She wanted to get down, but he wasn't willing to let her go.

Sighing in annoyance, she picked up the call. Chase sneakily noticed the name blinking on the mobile screen.

Pappa♡ he sighed internally seeing this name.

" Papa....yeah...she's fine..we are leaving now... I'll be home...soon Papa...No...don't wait for me...
I ate already...so...eat...hmm... okay...bye..." She said gently and hung up the call.

She lied to him again.

She sighed, annoyed. That smirk irritated her.

" I never lied to him, you made me do it!" these words escaped her mouth even before she could stop.

Chase knitted his brows at her.

" Why did you lie...?" he asked, unbothered by her accusatory tone.

She inhaled sharply.

The audacity to ask me why I lied to him after doing everything....!

" Why...." she was angry.... " Do you want me to tell him that I am out with Mr. Chase..." she was annoyed...." or The Don himself!!" it was a taunt.

He pulled her closer to him, she felt his hardness poking her inner thighs. She widened her eyes, and his hold on her lower waist tightened.

" Should I talk to your dear Papa?" he asked gently, arching his straight brows at her.

She gritted her teeth, he was threatening her. She tried to push him but he grabbed her wrists and pinned them behind. Her chest arched because of the friction.

" Stop whining like a kid! " he hissed, clenching his jaws.

She looked down, not wanting to look at this evil man.

" Okay....Rose, now don't cry!" He said it sounded almost like pleading.

She didn't look up. He cupped her cheeks and made her look at him.

" I won't hurt your dad...Don't cry love" He said, sounding desperate to even himself.

He's pleading with her not to cry!!!! He relished on people's fear and tears!! Look at him now!

It was the deal breaker for her. He said that he would not hurt Matthew. So she stopped sobbing and widened her eyes at him in disbelief.

" Why....why are you doing this?" she wanted to know the reason behind his behaviour. 

He didn't want to tell her now, but she was asking him. So he decided to tell.

" I like you, Rose...." He said, looking straight into her light blue eyes which widened like saucers as soon as these words left his mouth.

He looked dead serious. That madness glistened in his eyes. She gulped visibly, shaking her head frantically. 

" i....home...I want to go...home" she stuttered, fear was evident in her eyes.
