Chapter-52

Author's POV

Heaving a sigh of relief, she made her way to the bathroom. Before she walked upstairs, she looked at Chase, he was smiling heartily at her.

Smiling back weakly at him she proceeded towards the bathroom.

She wasn't just tired because of the party. All the pent-up emotions were taking a toll on her peace of mind. She was on the verge of breaking down. But she controlled, as he clearly warned her not to create any drama.

Chase looked at her disappearing figure and sighed.

As Rose made her way upstairs, Chase busied himself with a few of his business partners, who were still in the party, although it was midnight already!!

She opened the bathroom door and locked it behind her. The clicking sound of the door alerted the men hiding inside the bathroom.

Standing before the sink, she examined her reflection in the mirror. She looked tired yet beautiful.

His black eyes widened looking at Rose. This was the last place he expected to see her.

Tears gathered in her eyes.

She was alone...finally!!

Little did she know!!

Why is it me....why does it have to be me...I hate this...! She mumbled, biting her lips.

Both the men heard her mumbling this but only the guy with black eyes could see her face, as her back was facing the green-eyed guy.

Her eyes lowered to her ring finger. She stared at the blue diamond for a brief minute and then sighed, defeated.

She knew crying right now would be pointless. They're engaged already!! Sitting and crying will not change anything.

She turned on the tap and splashed the cold water on her face. Turning towards her right, she was about to pull the tissue but stopped when she felt a looming presence behind her.

She didn't turn back. She clearly remembered locking the door behind her! It dawned on her that somebody was there in the bathroom already. Her eyes went round at the realisation.

His green eyes were fixed on her back. Just when he raised his hands to inject her, the man with black eyes walked in front of her, seizing her breathing, altogether.

She widened her eyes like saucers looking at the big guy, wearing a ski mask.

What shocked her even more was his widened eyes. He couldn't believe it was her. His black eyes widened in shock, pure shock!!!

"Are you his girlfriend?" These words escaped his mouth, disbelief lacing his tone. His expression was one of utter shock.

He wasn't expecting to see her here.

Rose didn't speak. She knew that she was stuck with two or maybe more intruders. Her breathing hitched, and she was very afraid.

" Leo!" he gritted his teeth, looking at the black-eyed man.

As soon as Leo asked her this, his green eyes darkened with anger. He didn't want his years of plan to fail because of Leo's silly mistakes.

He didn't want her to recognise their voices. No one for that matter. What if she knew them by any chance!! They were here to kidnap her! Not to sit and chat.

Rose turned back, slowly and that's when his world stopped for a brief moment.

The girl of his dreams, the girl for whom he was obsessed for years, was here, right in front of him!! He looked for her everywhere. He was looking for her for three years. Everywhere. He couldn't find her and now! She is here, right in front of him. There wasn't a day that passed without him remembering her and thinking about her. He wasn't just obsessed with her...he was loving her, madly!!
