Author's POV

Just like Donovan promised, Layana gave her the cell phone. Then, Rose called Rain. She picked up the call after a few rings.

Rose wanted to tell her everything about last night. Not the details. But quite important things.

Rose was excited to speak with her. It's been quite a long time. Maybe more than a month since they last spoke.

As soon as Rain heard Rose's chirpy voice, Rain squealed in happiness, almost screaming.

She was pestering Leon about her well-being. Although Leon told her that she was happy and fine, Rain didn't believe him. She will not believe Leon anytime soon. Not after he kidnapped her best friend.

Hearing how chirpy and excited Rose sounded, Leon's words made sense to her.

Without beating around the bush, Rose admitted to her feelings for Donovan. To say she was shocked, would be an understatement. Rain couldn't believe her own ears.

Rose narrated everything about Donovan and how she feels for him. Rain was shell-shocked. Rose kept telling her about his good sides. Only good sides. This was enough for her to know that Rose was madly in love with Don.

Rain was quite scared for her. He is not some common man. He is a Don. He was cruel and ruthless. Rain didn't want her to get hurt.

By the way Rose sounded, she could make out, she was head over heels in love with that man. She could imagine her blue eyes sparkling as she spoke about him.

To hit the goal, Rose concluded her feelings by telling her about the last night's events. She even quoted, some of his words.

Rain's jaws dropped in shock. While Rose, her cheeks were red and her eyes were sparkling. She looked so happy.

" My my god! Ro....! Rain dance, lovemaking, eating breakfast together...bathing together...why does it sound like straight outta romance novel?" Rain exclaimed, her eyes widened like saucers.

Rose chuckled. She imagined her look now. Widened eyes, jaw dropped, she would look so comical.

" Ro...he bewitched you! He is a witch! Wait? Can a guy be a witch? I don't know anything at this point." Rain said, scratching her neck.

Rose laughed.

" Why do I feel like you're exaggerating it?" Rose said.

" Ro...? Do you plan on telling him? Confessing him?" Rain asked, quite worried.

Jokes apart, both of them were aware that they were discussing about The Don and the guy had kidnapped her, for god's sake.

Worry covered her features.

Will she confess her feelings to him? Probably no.

Does she feel like confessing? Yes.

But will she confess?

"I don't know... you know my condition very well. He is a Don. He kidnapped me. He might be playing some game. I don't know. I feel chills to even think about that angle. Even if he loves me, he is violent. He has anger issues. He has the ability to hurt me. But he's controlling.. that's it. I just don't want to get into a violent relationship Rain. I'm not saying he is violent with me. He is not. But he is a ruthless Don and I am just afraid...I don't even know what to do" Rose sounded low. She looked sad as she spoke this.
