Chapter-41

Author's POV

She took a step ahead and cleared the distance between them. Holding him by his collar, she looked at him in pure anger.

" You did it... Didn't you?" She spoke through gritted teeth. Her misty eyes clearly accusing him of the unjust thing he has done already.

Chase knew what she meant but acted like he didn't get what she was saying.

" He quit his job! Do you even know how hard he worked to get where he is today?" She snapped,
" How will you know!" She seethed angrily. Mockery laced her tone.

He didn't like the way she was raising her voice at him.

" I had to do it! Do you think your dad would've agreed for us to be together? You know what happens if he says no!" Chase said, trying to sound calm. He clenched his jaws to control himself from snapping at her.

" Would you have agreed if your daughter dated a man like you?" She snickered at him.

" Even if he looks all over the world, he won't find a guy like me!!" Chase said shrugging his shoulders carelessly. He sounded proud.

She scoffed internally.

" I don't want a guy like you!" She said.

His strong hands circled her neck. He increased the grip slightly. She slapped on his hands but he didn't leave. Tears brimmed in her eyes.

" Last night you were begging for me! Now you don't want me... you are such a bitch! Ain't you? Say that again and I'll bend you over my desk and fuck you until you say otherwise!" He spat, leaving her with a jerk.

Rose coughed, placing her hands on her neck.

Sighing in frustration, he tried to grab her shoulders but she stepped back.

" Don't....don't do that!" She raised her hands in the air. Tears rolled down her cheeks.

He rolled his eyes.

" Stop being dramatic" Chase rebuked.

Her lips quivered, she was hurt.

" Stop making decisions for me!! And keep my dad out of this sick game!" She snapped, wiping her tears.

" ROSE!" He shouted, and she flinched violently.

He tried to grab her but she took a step back again. This angered him.

" So now you don't want me to touch you! Drop this bitchy attitude, Rose!" He was angry.

She looked aside.

What's the use of talking to this man??? She thought to herself.

" You are INSANE!" She screamed in his face and rushed out from there.

Chase watched her disappearing back, clenching his jaws.

Rose ran into the bathroom and turned on the shower. She cried sitting under the shower.

She knew what happened last night was a mistake but the way Chase was repeating it again and again made her want to rip her skin apart.

She hated the fact that she was too lost to even realise that it's been already a month since she arrived here.
