Chapter-58
Author's POV
Donovan squinted his eyes as she stopped herself from nodding. And then he chuckled.
Rose knew she was an idiot to admire this green-eyed beautiful devil. He kidnapped her for god's sake.
She wanted to ask him about something else but she didn't know how to address him.
Should I call him Don...? Donovan?
" Um...Mr...---"
" Call me Don...!" he said, understanding her confusion.
She nodded.
" And you will be my flower from now on," Donovan said, caressing her cheeks with his knuckles.
Rose widened her eyes, not in shock. She didn't find the necessity for him to give her a nickname.
" No...it's...----" He silenced her by placing his index finger on her lips, gently brushing it after a while.
She gulped when he brushed her lips gently.
" No more discussion. You are my flower!" he declared, leaving no room for further discussions.
She found it quite stupid.
Did you kidnap me to bring him down? What is with all the nicknames??? She thought, even laughing at his stupidity.
Exactly...what is with you kissing him back?? Not stopping him from kissing you? Huh??? Her mind countered back silencing her completely.
" And I want you to eat your meals with me in the dining area Alright?? Flower?" he asked, knitting his brows and she nodded. How can she say no? She is in his place and she will have to follow the damn rules.
Satisfied with her obedience, he cupped her cheeks and put her down from the window sill.
" Alright....you can rest now" Donovan said and she nodded her head meekly.
Rose looked at his disappearing back but then her eyes widened when he appeared again. Donovan turned back and smiled at her which made her heart flutter. Rose looked down immediately.
Donovan left for his study. He had an important task on his hands. He wanted to make arrangements for her to talk with her father. And most importantly, he wanted to make sure her father was safe. For that, he needed to find out more information about her.

Hunter's Mansion, Northern States.
The atmosphere screamed somberness and melancholy. The sun had abandoned the sky leaving it with nothing but darkness just like his life. She left him, taking all his happiness with her.
It was all empty now.
The sky looked like it was draped with a thick blanket. Although it looked grey, all he saw was darkness.
The air felt heavy just like his heart which carried the burden of loneliness. An intolerable pain that seeps chills down the bones.
He was standing in his study, his arms crossed across his chest. The only source of light in the darkroom was coming from the constant buzzing of his phone screen and the occasional lightning and thunderbolts.
