Chapter-46

Author's POV

Chase leaned forward and tucked her silky locks behind her ears. A soft groan escaped her lips as she shifted her head towards her right.

He tapped her cheeks gently and caressed her cheeks, drawing circles on her soft cheeks.

" Rose...love...we reached India.. wake up baby" He whispered, gently.

She hummed deeply and opened her eyes.

" Oh...hmmm" a small yawn escaped her lips. She looked around and nodded.

He smiled and placed a black cap, sunglasses and a black mask in front of her.

She looked at these things and then gave him a weird look.

" Wear it!" He said adjusting his sunglasses.

She still looked at him in confusion.

" Safety love..." Chase said. Rose nodded in understanding.

Chase held her hands and led her towards their car which was waiting for them already. She noticed a few people clicking their pictures.

"Mr Griffin's... Mr. Griffins..."

" What is the reason behind your sudden visit to India?"

" Mr. Griffin's, is she your rumoured girlfriend?"

" When is your marriage?"

" Are you here for a business deal?"

" Mr. Griffin's please answer.."

Media people bombarded Chase with questions. She tightened her hold on his hands as they clicked their pictures continuously. The 'click-click' sound made her heart pound wildly.

Chase wasn't wearing a mask or cap. He was used to this kind of attention. But Rose wasn't. She somehow felt confident as he firmly held her hands and escorted her towards their black car.

As soon as she settled inside the car, she sighed in relief. Chase rubbed her back in a soothing way.

" You're fine....love," Chase said, cooing her.

She nodded looking into her blue eyes.

Denise started the car and drove towards her home.

The ride was quiet. It wasn't awkward. She was happy to see her father after a very long time.

" Rose...I won't be coming with you!" Chase said, breaking the silence.

She looked at him and nodded.

"Stay with him.... celebrate his birthday...and then we'll leave," Chase said, she nodded eagerly.

" Let me know if you need anything" He added and she nodded in understanding.

Chase knew she was happy.
He couldn't help but feel happy, looking at her happy face.

" I don't need anything..." She mumbled, softly.

He nodded.

" Fine...have a good day!" he pulled her into his arms and kissed her hair.

She nodded and got out of the car.

Rose hugged Matthew tightly and buried her face in his chest. He patted her hair softly, hushing her not to cry.
