Chapter-18
Author's POV
Chase was leaning against his car, waiting for Rose. She wasn't picking up his calls, nor did she reply to his messages. His first thought was to barge into her home and drag her to his mansion. But then, something stopped him from doing that.
He was waiting for the sun to rise, he badly wanted to punish her for ignoring him. She made some major mistakes. He will make sure she doesn't repeat it. Again.
He wanted to come here first thing in the morning. But he didn't.
He wanted her to believe that she was not followed by him, anymore.
He wanted her to think that she was free and then he wanted to crush that belief under his foot while watching that little hope dying in her teary eyes. That thought alone gave him different satisfaction.
He looked at his wristwatch and then sighed. It's two already, her classes will be over. A sly smirk appeared on his lips thinking about her reaction.
She'll definitely look like a scared kitten!! He chuckled, thinking of her reaction.
Rose was unaware that Chase would be waiting for her. Today she had extra classes and the timings extended. She forgot the fact that the college she is studying is owned by Griffin.
Chase called Jason to check on Rose. That man gave sufficient information about her, including the class schedules, and her academic reports.
Rose was mindlessly walking towards the entrance gate, and Chase noticed her immediately. She was wearing white cargo pants and a white crop top. Her hairs were loosely tied in a messy bun.
Chase was watching her keenly. She looked hot in white. He looked around, some guys were ogling at her. He fisted his palms, and jealousy surged through his veins.
As if sensing his heated gaze, she looked towards her right. And her eyes widened. He was waiting for her, leaning against his Black Range Rover.
Their gazes locked for a brief minute. His blue eyes looked darker, setting her in flight or fight mode.
She took a step back and his expressions changed from blank to rage.
Ignoring everything else, she started running in the opposite direction. She looked back and two bulky men were following her. Her legs moved fast as she saw them chasing her.
His men were running behind her if they didn't get her... Chase will definitely break their bones.
She was running like a mad woman. Some students walking around the campus looked at her in disbelief.
She was breathing heavily, her lungs burned as she was running out of oxygen. She looked behind and those two men were so near, that fear engulfed her senses. She stumbled and was about to fall but a large hand grabbed her, preventing her from falling.
It was one of his men. Rose thrashed wildly in his hold. She was shouting at him to let her go but that man didn't pay any attention and literally dragged her towards Chase.
As she saw Chase looking at her with an evil smirk, her heart picked up its pace. She started pleading with them even more, but it fell on deaf ears.
Chase signalled his men to leave her and they freed her. She was about to take a step back but Chase grabbed her waist and in one swift twirl, she was pinned against the car, her hands held above her head.
She was wiggling, this only made his grip on her tighten even more. She hissed as pain increased, and tears gathered in her eyes. She hated feeling helpless, but men like him left her with no choice.
