Rose' POV

Chase is a friend to me. Night friend. I treat him like a friend. Although he strictly reminds me once in a while that we are couples, to me, he is a friend, a friend who has given me bitter-sweet treatment.

We spent most of the time in the Cafe he built for me. Yeah! He built that cafe for me.

After Chase killed Ken in the Vintage Cafe, I stopped going to that place. A place once my favourite gave me nightmares for weeks.

He has named this Cafe as RC. It's basically our initials. Rose and Chase.

Although he is really cruel, I am really touched by his actions. I mean, nobody has done that to me. It is overwhelming. He said, he planned it carefully. Everything in the Cafe is arranged and designed according to his plan. I know he's trying to put in effort, but I cannot love him.

The love he has for me is something that I cannot accept. It's not just love. It's something else. Madness.

What I feel for him is not love. He is a friend, a friend at night. We usually don't talk much in the morning.

He is this whole different person at night time. He is caring, gentle and very considerate, at night. He speaks and he listens, which usually doesn't happen at any time of the day.

He is trying to be a gentleman to me. For me. I can see that. I can see he is trying. But he is not what I want.

Chase is a violent man. And I don't need another violent man in my life. He is a control freak. He likes to dictate things. If it doesn't happen according to his wish and will, he will not think twice before destroying it.

I've been staying in Hunter's mansion for more than sixty days now. And my little understanding of him, Chase is really really cruel.

I know he is trying to be a nice man but he is just hiding that monster behind his nice guy facade. I cannot afford to love a violent man like him.

With my dark past, I'll be doomed if I love a violent man like him.

But I am not faking anything with him. He talks to me nicely, he listens to my countless even stupid stories, and I appreciate his efforts. I cannot say he is my good friend. But we are friends, not literal friends. We share a pretty strange relationship.

If Chase hadn't hurt me before if he hadn't shown me his violent side, if he hadn't forced me into any of these....maybe....maybe I would have given him a chance.

But now, Love is impossible between us.

We share a bond, quite strange, that's it.

We spend most of our time in the Cafe. We brew coffee and talk about all the deepest things while we sip on our coffee.

Chase is this whole new person when we are in the cafe. He acts so gently. He shares his deepest and darkest secrets with me.

One of the biggest secrets that he shared with me was about his father. Mr. Hunter Griffin.

He said, his father never loved his Mom. Chase has derived controlling genes from his father. According to what Chase said, Mr. Hunter loved to control the people around him. Especially his wife, Natalia. He used to control every step of hers. He was quite abusive too. His abusive and controlling behaviour has influenced a lot on Chase.

He also said his mother died of cancer and his father died of old age. Chase also said that he has an arch-rival. He didn't mention his name. But he said that guy is waiting for an opportunity to bring him down.
