Chapter-64

⚠️ Emotional content ahead (especially for Chase and Rose shippers)⚠️

Chase's POV

The storm brewing inside my heart is nothing compared to the pain that I am inflicting on these useless traitors.

The potent mixture of raw emotions, the betrayal, the sadness, the anger, the frustration and the heartbreak.. that I am experiencing from every fibre of my being creates an intense bitterness in my heart.

As this unstoppable anger increased, I clenched my fists and my jaws tightened. I threw the paperweight across the wall, screaming the only name that soothed my burning heart.

ROSE.

The paperweight fell after denting the wall. I couldn't help but smile bitterly, looking at the dent on the wall. It is quite deep but not deeper than the hollow, her absence has created in my heart.

I walked towards the wall and traced the dent, slowly.

It feels so empty. So empty as if my soul has been torn away from me. Everything feels gloomy without her.

This life, this mansion, this heart and me.... everything is gloomy without her.

I was waiting for her to return from the bathroom. I was waiting.., patiently talking with my business partners. But then...I felt it. The eagerness to see her. The urge to hold her in my arms.

That feeling was indescribable. So I ran to the first floor and barged inside the bathroom. My soul left my body, my heart stopped beating for a brief minute seeing the empty bathroom. It didn't take me long to realise that she was gone.

My first thought was that she had escaped me! I screamed her name in vain and then my eyes fell on the dustbin placed below the washbasin. The ring...the diamond ring I gave her was in the dustbin.

I bet Rose wouldn't do that. And the strong male cologne hit my nostrils. I must've ignored it. I didn't notice it at first. But then, Denise came running towards me. The worry, the sense of fear on his face was enough for me to go insane.

" Most of our men have been drugged!" Denise informed me. He was worried.

My worst suspicion came true.

" They've taken her," He said and I punched him hard on his face.

" How.....? How....did they step inside my territory? How did they get her? Who informed them? I need every single detail soon!" I punched him again, roaring.

I checked every single footage and those sneaky bastards sneaked in through the terrace. And they kidnapped her and took her back in a helicopter.

My chest tightened seeing Rose lying unconscious in his arms.

It didn't take me long enough to find out who that bastard was. It is my archenemy, Donovan. That son of a bitch kidnapped her. And he will pay in blood for taking what's mine.

I still cannot bring myself to accept that she is not here. I still go to her room, thinking that she is sleeping. When I don't find her in bed, I go to the balcony hoping she would be sitting there, watching the garden or the moon. It hurts when I cannot find her in the room.

I don't give up just there. I rush to the garden and when I find the swing chair empty, my heart aches. I find myself in the cafe, looking for her like a madman. I even sleep in the cafe because I've spent most of the good time here with her.
