Johnny stirred beside her, slowly lifting his head off the pillow. Her gaze met his brown eyes as she watched him slowly realise the position they were in, he smiled before whispering "Morning.. please tell me you've not been awake hours?" He said in his gruff yet caring voice. "No actually I've just woken up. I slept well. Did you?" "Yeah for hours it seems." His head titled to the nearby window. The rain was still lashing down but at least daylight provided some context as to the time. "Thank you for being there for me in the night." Meghan whispered before looking away embarrassed. "You're welcome doll. If you ever want to talk I'm here ok? Besides, Thank you for keeping me company." He said sweetly trying to comfort her. He snuggled into his pillow before muttering "Fucking rain is probably here to stay for a day or so I would imagine." Meghan nodded agreeing before saying "I'll go try and make us some coffee." Johnny opened one eye before saying "No power remember?" She stepped away from the bed heading towards the door. "I'll boil water on the stove." She smiled and left the room.

Granted boiling the water in an old saucepan took twice as long as the luxurious coffee machine they had come accustomed too most days, but after digging out some instant granules from the back of the cupboard she eventually got there after a significant amount of time. She slowly and carefully navigated the stairs before entering Johnny's room once more. As she carried the mugs over to the bed she heard his soft snores once more. She smiled, he looked adorable this time with the throw from the end of the bed tucked over his body. He was quite the gentleman allowing her to stay with him last night, and ensuring her own comforts before his own and she was very grateful. She quietly placed the mug down on the bedside table expecting him to wake at the noise but he didn't, so she carefully pulled her side of the blankets over his body and wrapped him up in what could only be described as a Johnny burrito. She tucked him in before grabbing her mug and tiptoeing out the room and heading back to her own.

Johnny had tried to keep his eyes open for the few minutes he expected Meg to be gone but struggled, and before he knew it he had fallen back to sleep. This time she appeared instantly within his dreams.

The Italian sunshine was beating down on the pair as they strolled hand in hand around the edge of the garden that lined the beautiful lake.  Meghan said something rather witty which made him belly laugh, she made him laugh so much that his middle often hurt from spending the day chuckling. His heart was full every time he spent time with the woman and he couldn't fathom as to why he was only just realising it now. Meghan was obviously comfortable with him as she lent in and rested her head on his shoulder whilst they walked. Her long hair was blowing in the gentle breeze as they stopped at a secluded spot and looked out across the water, she muttered "it's beautiful." "You are." He simply replied. Her head turned and her large wide blue eyes looked up at him  before she lent in and kissed him with all her petite body could muster. The kiss was warm, passionate, yet soft and sweet, it was the perfect mix of all he had been looking for.

All of a sudden a large roar of thunder awoke Johnny startling him, as he quickly sat up in his bed panicked. A sinking disappointed feeling crept over him as he soon realised the kiss wasn't real. His reaction to this shocked him a lot. He noticed the covers were now over his body and the other side of the bed was empty, he vaguely remembered waking for a few minutes earlier on and assumed Meghan didn't want to go back to sleep as she was no longer by his side. His mind cast back to his dream once more, making his eyes widen. He rubbed his face and pushed his hair back before noticing the coffee mug on the bedside table. He reached for it and felt it was stone cold. God he must have been asleep a long time he realised before standing and donning a tee shirt before going off to find the other occupant of the house. He wandered down the corridor and saw her door was ajar. He stopped and paused, wondering if it was weird to go in there, but the other part of his brain was telling him it wouldn't be, baring in mind they had shared a room the night prior so he gently went ahead and knocked on the door.

"Come in." She said half heartedly. "Hey doll. Sorry I must have drifted back off, thank you for the thoughtful coffee though." "You're welcome. Sorry it took so long." She smiled. "Still no power?" "Nope I half thought about going out and seeing if I can find anyone but I couldn't face the rain with how I'm feeling." She said the last part of her sentence quietly. "How you're feeling?" He questioned concerned entering the room further. "Yeah just not 100%." Meghan said quietly attempting to look anywhere but Johnny's face. "Oh?" He asked once more. "I'll be fine." "Do you need anything?" "No honest I'm sure I'll be fine. I'm used to it.." she said trailing off, and the realisation kicked in for Johnny. "Ohhhh." He said as his mouth formed a perfect O. "Yep.." Meghan said shrugging. "Is there anything I can do? Don't hot baths help?" "Yeah I was thinking about it. I've just been chilling here reading, there's not much that will fix it, just got to wait for it to pass." "That sucks." Meghan smiled nervously once more. She couldn't believe she was discussing monthly's with Johnny. "God I think I'll die when my daughter grows into a woman." Meghan smiled sympathetically "Just be there for her Johnny. That's all any little girl wants, is her Daddy." He nodded and slowly sat on the end of the bed. "I try to be. Mind you, she's 12 going on 20. Sometimes I think she doesn't need me anymore." "She does. She's just finding her way. You and Vanessa have obviously raised her right if she feels brave enough to take on the world." Johnny smiled "I hope so. I've always done what I can, and done the best for them. They are my world." Meghan smiled happily "Johnny, anyone can tell that."

A short while later, more coffee had been made and the pair were sat on her bed discussing all the books she had bought with her on the trip. Johnny held up one "and this?" "That I haven't read. I bought it for a book club a few years back, and then we moved and I never got round to it. I hope to do so soon!" "Well how about when I finish the book I'm on now I'll order a copy and we can start it together?" "Really?" Megan giggled. "I couldn't ask you to do that..." "You're not asking. I'm offering. We'll call it The Sweetzer Book club!" "Ok you've got a deal. You bring the wine and I'll sort the snacks." "Perfect. I'm good at wine." Johnny smirked before picking up another book.

Later on, Johnny stood from the bed "Go have your bath, and meet me downstairs we'll see if we can get a fire going." "Johnny it's September not December." "But you're cold." "I won't be though after my bath." "Just go relax woman and let me sort the manly stuff like wood and fire. Big fire. I am the man of the house and I want big fire." Johnny said jokingly. He stood and left Meghan's bedroom. Failing to realise he had just spent the past three hours on her bed. It had been a long time since Johnny Depp was in a girl's bedroom doing something completely innocent as discussing books.
