"Meg you look beautiful!" Lily gushed as she snapped the photo of her father's girlfriend. The sun was fast disappearing on the horizon, and Johnny had whisked his girlfriend and children off to a very chic oceanfront restaurant in Cannes for the evening. "Oh please... you're the one who helped with my make up!" Meg gushed as Lily showed her the photo on her phone. Johnny was across the private terrace leaning on the private bar chatting to the barman. "This place is wonderful." Meg said as the three sat down on the luxurious furniture awaiting Johnny's return. "It's special, he only comes here when he really wants to celebrate." Jack said with a wide smile. Meg nodded before sipping some water. "You guys look so at home here in France." Lily smiled "we love it here, it's where we were born." "The French have a different way of living." Jack said happily. "Yes I'm surprised we can just be here out in the open and the guys are all the way over there." Meg gestured to the only other occupied table on the other end of the terrace where Sean and Malcolm were sat.

"Hey beautiful people." Johnny said carrying a tray of elaborate looking cocktails. "They are mocktails don't get excited." He said pointing to the yellow looking matching drinks that the children happily took. "That's for you.." he said handing a champagne style cocktail to Meg, before he removed his Old Fashioned from the tray and sat beside his girlfriend. "Well here's to you three." Johnny said raising his glass and the four toasted before trying their drinks and began making small talk.

After a while, Lily stood with Jack and wandered to the railing to admire the view. Meg smiled watching them, before she turned to Johnny. "The kids look so at peace here. And so do you." She said happily. "I am. I'm at peace whenever I'm with them, and you of course." Meg blushed. "They said you only come here on special occasions or when you're celebrating." She added coyly. "Ha.." Johnny chuckled rubbing his chin. He looked insanely handsome in dark trousers and a shirt that framed his body so well, showing off his chest and many necklaces where he hadn't fully buttoned it. His sleeves were rolled up to his elbows as per usual, and he had thrown on a waistcoat too. "I come here when I'm happiest yes." He said turning towards her, her gaze had drifted off to the view and where his two children stood giggling a few yards away from them. The warm summer breeze ruffled her hair and he caught a strand in his fingers gently brushing it off her face. "And I'm the happiest I've been in a long time, thanks to you." Meg bit her lower lip. "Johnny.. you make me the happiest woman alive." He smiled and lent in and kissed her passionately before they heard somebody clear their throat. A waiter stood awkwardly to the side of them. "Mr Depp your table is ready when you are." Johnny pulled back reluctantly and Meg blushed madly. "Thank you.." Johnny replied kindly.

The four sat down to dinner and were admiring their menus when Meg looked up and spotted Johnny watching her. "What?" She said quietly. "Nothing." He chuckled before lighting up a cigarette. Lily was delicately gazing at the menu whilst Jack began reeling off everything he liked the look of which consisted of a lot of the menu. The waiter returned with a bottle of wine and offered it to the two adults pouring it into the large glasses.

"When does your film premiere Daddy?" Lily asked sweetly as their main courses were being cleared away. "November darling. I think we are going with a soft launch at a Saudi film festival and then across Europe." "Wow, that's so exciting!" Jack said beaming, he was extremely proud of his father. "And Meg, you and G must be working really hard?" "Oh yes. In fact, we've got to meet after this vacation to finalise things. I might even get to go to London to see her." Meg smiled. "London?" Johnny asked shocked. "Well yes, Gina was only saying the other day that she's done so much travelling already this year, so I offered to go to her." "You never said?" Johnny questioned. "I didn't think I needed to? It's work? And I work for you.." she said still embarrassed at the situation. "If you wanted to go to London, you could have just said I would have taken you." "Johnny it's not about going on a trip, it's work." Meg giggled sipping her wine. "When are you going?" Jack asked and Meg shrugged "It's not even final yet.." Johnny nodded before muttering under his breath. "I could take you to London."
