Sixty Nine

"Good Morning Travis." Meg said with a giggle as she came through the back doors into the kitchen. She had just been for another run in the Spring sunshine and greeting the security guard had become quite normal thanks to the blossoming relationship between her baby sister and the man. "Morning Meg. Ok?" "Yes good thanks.. how was your evening?" "Good. We went for some drinks but that was it... looking forward to having the boss man back?" "Yes! I can't wait to see him!" "Well here's an idea. Why don't you come with me to the airfield to greet them?" "Seriously?!!" Meg said with a big smile. Johnny had been in Saudi Arabia at a film festival over the past week and in Budapest for a few weeks before that for work and although invited, Meg had a family friend's wedding out of town to attend so opted out. She was extremely excited at the prospect of seeing Johnny on the tarmac though. Travis smiled before pouring himself some coffee. "I'll leave in an hour." She smiled before rushing upstairs to get ready.

After showering, she stood in her large walk in closet just wrapped in a towel deciding what to wear. It had warmed up in California in recent weeks and she wanted to embrace the Spring sunshine. Pulling out a midi skirt, converse and her favourite Hollywood Vampires band tee, she donned that before heading off to do her make up.

In the SUV on the way to the airfield, Travis noticed that Meg had a couple of travel thermos cups with her. All branded with Johnny's production company. "Thirsty were you?" He chuckled as he drove. "No I thought we could stop and get the guys coffee. I bet they are shattered after that overnight?" She said sweetly. "Good idea hun." Travis said pulling into a Starbucks drive thru. The pair made a substantial order of multiple coffees for the passengers they were greeting, as well as themselves alongside breakfast items that Meg insisted on having, after gaining quite an appetite after her workout, they then got back on the road.

"So Poppy not annoying you yet?" Meg asked cheekily. "Not at all. Actually she's surprised me. I thought we were a good match just for you know but actually we have a lot in common and I like her a lot." Meg nodded and smiled "Well that's hardly news. You're at ours more or less every night and with Johnny away you've practically moved in!" "Sorry, is it bothering you?" "Not at all." "I'll stay more at the annex. It's just hard to have her over when all the other guys are there you know?" "Hey you don't have to explain yourself to me. I get it." Meg said with a smile.

The SUV made its way through the heavy security and pulled up on the tarmac as a jet landed and taxied around the airfield, Meg jigged in her seat excitedly and Travis smirked. "What?!" The woman said. "You... it's cute." Meg rolled her eyes as she saw the officials approach the plane and the door open. "I know he's missed you.." Travis said quietly. "You know that?" Meg asked surprised. "Yes he told Sean a fuck load, and Sean tells me most things.... Come on you." Travis jumped out the car and Meg followed suit, holding her hair off her face because of the wind from the jet engines. She looked up and saw a fedora clad Johnny wandering down the steps of the plane shaking hands with the pilot and staff. She smiled, she loved watching him from afar, he was always a gent no matter the circumstance. Travis nodded and she began to walk faster and finally got to the bottom of the stairs before rushing up them. Johnny heard the noise of somebody clambering up the stairs and beamed. Her petite frame wrapped round him as they kissed passionately. She pulled back giggling "I missed you!" She said as he slowly lent back still keeping his hands on her hips. "I can't tell! I missed you too doll." They kissed once more before making their way slowly down the steps towards the car where Johnny's luggage was being loaded. His arm firmly around her lower back as she snuggled in close to him. "This is a nice surprise darling." "It was Travis' idea.... We got you coffee." She said leaning into the car and handing out the various cups. "You're a doll." Johnny said leaning in and kissing the woman's head. "So how was it? Tell me everything!" Meg said excitedly. Johnny smiled at how happy his girlfriend was to have him home, it made him feel loved and special. "Hey first things first... remind me to never let you go to social events alone again. You looked insane at Hayley's wedding." Meg smiled and blushed. "Thank you... you know you were invited. She was more than happy to make it work." Johnny bit his lip and smiled "I know but I don't want your friends and family having to change their special days for me. It's not right." Meg nodded before turning to Sean "Well Travis has missed you... he's been like a bear with a sore head." "Oh really?!" The head of security smirked taking a sip of coffee as the officials began checking everyone's passports. "Yeah.. thank god Poppy has been able to occupy him." Meg giggled before Johnny wolf whistled and the boys cheered Travis.

In the car on the way home, Johnny saw Meg texting rapidly fast. "All ok babe?" He asked reaching across the middle to take her hand. She smiled locking her phone instantly. "Yes.. sorry. Just catching up." "I cannot wait to get home to my own bed. My own house.. and Hilda's amazing cooking." Johnny said leaning back in his chair holding his coffee cup between his legs. "All is as requested boss." Travis said from the driver's seat. "Thank you T." Johnny said closing his eyes. Meg went back to texting fast.

He's almost home! Xx
