"Happy Birthday!!" The group chorused around the dining table sipping a mixture of mimosas and coffee. "Thank you!" Meg gushed. "This looks incredible Sheryl!" She added taking a pastry from a platter in the middle. "Nonsense, it was nothing." The woman said proudly. "So you're 30... man that's old." Poppy said as she took a large bite of bacon. Alice scoffed "Old?? You don't know the meaning of the word."

Breakfast was a lovely affair and Meg was spoilt rotten by her sister, Aunt, Uncle and Johnny. The latter had informed her discreetly she had a few more gifts to come but wouldn't be getting them until later that day. "Right.. C'mon go get ready!!" Poppy said excitedly as she ushered her sister up the stairs. Johnny hung in the foyer and said to Alice "Wanna hit the home studio for a few hours?" He nodded and agreed to head to Johnny's after he had said his goodbyes to his wife.

Meg was pulling her hair out the collar of her jacket in front of her bedroom mirror when Johnny slipped in the room. "I just wanted to say enjoy your day, and I'll see you later ok?" He said with a nervous smile as she wandered over. "Thank you again for those wonderful gifts Johnny, I feel so spoilt." "You're welcome. Now go enjoy your day." They kissed passionately and held one another at arm's length when pulling back. "I can't wait for tonight." He smiled. "Me neither." She giggled. "See you later doll."

The three women headed out, and wandered around the mall for quite some time before Poppy piped up "We should go to Rodeo Drive!" "What?" Meg said confused. "Rodeo drive baby!" Poppy said smiling looking at Sheryl. "I'd never say no..." the Aunt replied. "Rodeo drive is like the creme de le creme Pops, I can't afford it there and you certainly can't." Meg said maturely. "No come on... it will be fun. We can just browse!" Poppy said as they headed to the car.

An hour later, somehow Meg found herself in a Chanel store wandering slowly around. Poppy was off chatting to some store assistant as if she belonged there and Sheryl was admiring a jacket. Her moment of bliss was distracted with the words, "Try this on!" Poppy arrived in front of her with a black cocktail dress. "What? No?" Meg said in hushed whispers. "A it will look awful on me, you're the one with the curves and B, I can't afford $4200 for a dress!" Sheryl wandered over, "Just try it Meg" "Yeah it's not like we're paying rent is it? Come on you never know you might enjoy it!" The little sister said as she shoved her sister into a dressing room.

A while later, Meg had tried various items on with matching accessories kindly found by her baby sister and give her due, she did feel amazing. As she redressed and headed out the plush dressing room, she was greeted by a shop assistant "So we can have all that delivered to you by the end of the day Mam, we just need your address?" Meg smirked. "Oh I'm sorry, there must be a misunderstanding... I'm not buying it all." She said embarrassed. "Oh it's just your sister told us to charge the card on file?" The shop assistant looked extremely confused. "What card on file? Would you excuse me?" Meg said making her way back out to the shop. The birthday girl made her way across to where Sheryl and Poppy were chatting quietly. The latter had a number of Chanel iconic shopping bags in her hands. "Poppy what on earth? Why are they sending me all those things? My credit card can't take that kind of spanking." "Luckily it's not your card then isn't it." Poppy smiled and turned on her heel. Meg looked at Sheryl. "I'm afraid somebody beat me to it darling, try to enjoy it though." Meg's eyebrows raised as Poppy handed her a small envelope. Sheryl shrugged with a smile as Meg opened it.

Happy birthday my darling.. you deserve the finest treasures in life, finally I've found a way to spoil you, without you realising. I hope you are having fun. JD x x x x

It was a hand written note card that made Meg swoon. Surely he hadn't just done that? Poppy stepped forward. "He knew you hated him spending his money on you so we had to fool you into think you were shopping..." Meg bit her lip. "What exactly did you say yes to?" She asked concerned. "Only the things you said you loved and wanted to save for." Poppy said proudly. "Don't worry, I could have spent a lot more." Meg finally relented and giggled with her sister. "What am I gonna do with you!" The elder sister said wrapping an arm around Poppy. "I hate to interrupt but we need to get to the spa!" Sheryl said excitedly and the girls agreed heading out the store.

"Woahh.. I just rang that girl's bill, and it's being invoiced to a J DEPP, you don't think?" The store assistant said to her colleague. "What that scrawny little thing? No course not. He likes a proper woman." The store clerk replied whilst straightening things up. "Maybe the blonde but I doubt it. With his connections at Chanel through Vanessa, why would he send anyone he cares about into an actual store?"
