Chapter Twenty Nine

"Doll... phone." Meghan heard Johnny mutter. She was in the middle of a very deep sleep and didn't want to move. She was lying on his chest, it felt warm, cosy and as if she had been there forever. She lifted her arm and began poking his sleeping face, he reluctantly opened his eyes. "What are you doing?" He smirked. "Finding the snooze button." She giggled quoting him. He chuckled before saying "Yeah that ain't gonna work darlin.. where's your fucking phone and why is it on so loud?" "Because this is a fucking big house and I always loose it." She said slowly sitting up. Daylight streamed in through the large balcony doors where the curtains had failed to be pulled the night prior and clothes were scattered across the bedroom floor. She grabbed the blanket throw that was used mainly for cosmetic reasons on the end of her bed and wrapped it round herself. "You know I've seen you naked in lots of positions now.." Johnny said waking up fully and placing his arms behind his head. "Not the point." She smirked rummaging around before finding her phone.
"Hello.."
"Darling there you are! My goodness have you slept in, are you ill?"
"No Sheryl.. sorry bit of a late night." She looked directly at Johnny as she spoke who's eyes widened and was no longer as cocky or comfortable as he was a moment prior.
"A late night on a Sunday honestly you kids what are you like? I just wanted to let you know that we have landed and we are on our way to Sweetzer now."
"You're on your way now?" She replied shocked. Johnny stood bolt up right attempting to find his jeans.
"Well yes you are expecting us?" Sheryl said confused.
"Sorry yes. Just not quite awake yet. See you shortly then."
"Can't wait. Love you lots."
"Love you too Aunt Sheryl."

She hung up the phone before rushing to grab her pyjamas from the night prior. "Alice is with her!" Meghan said panicked. "He is? I thought he was on tour?" "So did I? Maybe he's got a few days off?" Meghan quickly pulled the sheets back over the bed not fully making it but straightening them as best she could. "You should get going.. the kids.." Meghan said biting her lip. "Fuck, yes, I'm sure they'll be back before lunch." "Ok doll.. this was a close call. Sorry." Meghan shook her head. "It's nobody's fault I guess we didn't think to set an alarm last night." "I don't know about you but I only had own thing on my mind." Johnny smirked and Meghan giggled tucking her hair behind her ear. He lent in and kissed her before they made their way downstairs. "I'll text when they get here ok? They'll probably want to see you." "Sure thing doll."

Meghan had a rather quick shower, dressed in skinny jeans and an off the shoulder jumper and was just finishing her make up when she heard a knock on her front door. She yelled down "Just coming." Before rushing down the stairs and throwing her hair back off her face. "Oh darling! Look at you! How are you? How have you been?" Sheryl said embracing her like a long lost mother. "I'm ok, Italy was amazing! How are you?" "Hi Alice." She said kissing her uncle's cheek. "Come in, come in. Coffee?" She offered and they both accepted so they headed into the kitchen.

"So I was thinking, we should go for lunch somewhere. What's Johnny up to?" Alice said an hour or so later. "Johnny? Why would I know what he is up to?" Meghan said sipping the last of her coffee almost panicked. "Oh umm no reason, I just thought I would ask... do you want to call him?" Meghan's eyes widened. "umm ok, but I know his children were due back today after a sleepover." Sheryl nodded, "Ah I've not seen those little cherubs in a while, yes Meghan see if he's free." Meghan's mouth opened, "Ok..." she picked up her phone and dialled. It rang and rang before going to voicemail so in the end she sent a message.

Sorry about the rushed morning. I didn't mean to kick you out. Alice and Sheryl wanting to know if you and the children will join us for lunch? X x x

"So Johnny.." "what about Johnny?" Meghan said defensively, Alice gave her a weird look. "He didn't answer?" "Oh no, I've umm just sent him a text. We'll give it a bit, where do you fancy for lunch?" "How about that wonderful Italian place we went to last time we were here?" Sheryl said to Meghan. The latter just nodded tapping her nails on her phone. Around 25 minutes later Meghan's phone rang.
"Hello." She tried to sound calm and carefree.
"Hey doll, sorry just seen your message. Things got hectic here.. we would love to join you guys for lunch if you're still ok with it?"
"Oh sure. Yes, sounds good. We've not left yet."
"Well let us come to you and go from there?"
"Sure see you soon."
"Bye doll."

The 6 were sat in a beautiful Italian restaurant at a long table, eating appetisers when Sheryl said "So tell us more about this Salsa club Meg, you looked amazing in that photo you sent!" Meghan bit her lip looking at Johnny before resuming the conversation. "It was amazing, a really nice place. I think I'm going to go again!" "Oh? And did you find a dance partner?" Sheryl asked as she dipped some bread into a dip. "Yes I did, the guy who invited me to go, he's a pretty good dancer." Meghan said quietly. "You know it's not all dirty dancing. It's a real talent." Johnny said to Alice across the table making Meghan smirk. "I'm not sure how I feel about you going off to these clubs on your own." "
The uncle said. "Alice she's almost 30 for crying out loud. I was married by her age, and with child!" Meghan smirked and giggled alongside Lily-Rose, Johnny's 12 year old. "So how was bowling last night?" Meghan asked the kids trying to change the subject. "Amazing!! You and Dad should come next time!! All the other kids parents just hung out in the bar." Meghan nodded furrowing her eyebrows. "But.. I'm.." "We'll think about it." Johnny interrupted.

"So the kids are all doing their own thing for Thanksgiving, but you'll still want to see us right?" Sheryl asked as the group re entered Meg's home. "Oh yeah I'll be free, I get back from Dan's on the Saturday so will be free all Thanksgiving week?!" Meghan said before continuing "but if you guys want some alone time go do that, I'll be fine." "No no, we like being home for the holiday, plus Alice has been on the road nearly all year it will be nice to wrap up for Christmas." "Well how about I host you for a change, I know I never have because our apartment could never fit us all in but now, I mean if it's ok with Johnny, why don't you come here?" Johnny smiled "Of course it's fine! In fact I'll even up you one, why don't the three of you come to our thanksgiving, one big happy holiday?" Meghan raised her eyebrows. "Yeah!!!! That would be amazing!!" Lily said excitedly, "And you can bring your boyfriend Dan!!" Jack added. "Dan is my brother not my boyfriend." Meghan said laughing. "Oh... ok well you can bring him too I suppose." "I don't think we should intrude Johnny!" Meghan said concerned. "You wouldn't be. In fact Alice and Sheryl spent the holiday with us a few years back so it's practically family." Sheryl seemed excited by the idea and Alice nodded agreeing. "Ok that sounds wonderful, thank you. I hope you'll let me know what I can do to help." "Yeah you'll have to speak to Christi about that. I just offer to host and eat... and provide the wine." The group smirked before Meghan offered drinks round.

An hour later, the woman stood and re entered the kitchen to grab some snacks and refill drinks when she was joined by Johnny. "Are those jeans an invitation?" He whispered in her ear from behind. Just his voice made her body tingle which was bad. They couldn't keep this friends with benefits thing up, it was meant to be a one time thing, well one weekend. "I have no idea what you mean.." she said turning to continue her task. He grabbed her face and kissed her passionately, and she immediately melted into his embrace. "You know exactly what I mean. Your ass in those fucking jeans, it's making me itch again.." he smirked. "Jesus Johnny how did you cope before Saturday?" "With great difficulty." "Well I'm not prepared to steal you off your children. Perhaps we can look at an alternative arrangement when they go back to their mothers?" She smiled before heading out to the living room. He smirked before following her, his eyes permanently on her rear.
