"Paris in the summer was a bad idea..." Johnny muttered as he exited the en suite bathroom buttoning a shirt. "Hmm? What was that?" Meg turned slowly and asked, she had been lost in the view from Johnny's master bedroom of his Parisian home. "You've been away with the fairies all day sweetheart." He smirked. "Sorry.. I just. There's a lot on my mind." She said softly wrapping her arms around herself. "Doll, if your Mum gets you this upset, I'm not interested in spending anytime with her. Family vacation or not." Johnny said cuddling his girlfriend from behind. "I know. I shouldn't let her get to me, I just can't help it. Anyway, we've got to go, we've said we would now, Poppy is on her way I can't make her fly all the way back to LA..." "Hey, I'm Damn sure you're brother would fly back instantly given the chance." Meg rolled her eyes, but secretly loved how well Johnny had gotten to know her family.

The couple had returned to Paris the day prior to spend a few days with the children and meet Meg's siblings before flying to Greece where they would be meeting her mother, and step father. "Ready for dinner?" He asked tenderly. "Yes.. are the children?" "Yes I think so, and if they aren't, they'll be in trouble." Johnny smirked before taking his girlfriend's hand and leading her out the master suite, down to the living room. "Did I mention you look stunning?" Johnny whispered to her kissing just below her ear. Meg giggled before bashfully pushing him away as they entered the living room where the children were sat waiting. "Meg! You look gorgeous!" Lily gushed. "Well it is The Ritz.." the woman said blushing. "You two look great. Is that a new dress Lily?" "Yes! Mama and I got it last week!! Do you like it?" "I love it!" Meg giggled before turning to Jack. "Did you finish your book?" "No not yet!!! I'm gonna though! Maybe tonight!!" He said excitedly. Johnny smiled before turning to leave the room to find Sean.

The four of them dined in a private room at The Ritz, Meg was in awe, she'd never been somewhere so fancy and told Johnny so. The children although knew it was a special occasion didn't seem to let the ostentatious hotel surroundings bother them. "So are you looking forward to seeing your Mum?" Lily asked kindly making Meg smirk. "Umm yes it will be nice." She said not wanting to expose the children to her drama. "I'll certainly miss you guys though!!" She said hoping to change the subject. "We'll miss you more." Jack said before biting into his food. "Daddy will you send pictures?" "Of course poppet." He said taking a sip of wine before continuing his own meal. Before long the four had dined on the finest food that Paris had to offer, and the two adults had sampled delicious wines, as dessert was served Lily smiled proudly looking up at Meg. "What?" The elder replied back. "Look at Papa.." Meg turned and saw Johnny stood near the entrance to the room with the host. "He looks at you like you're the only person in the world" Meg's eyes widened as she nervously lifted her napkin and wiped her mouth. "Oh darling, you two are his gods, you're his world. Not me." "Meg. There's room for all three of us y'know." She said quietly before Johnny returned, making Meg's heart burst.

"I really am sorry about the children's questions darling." Johnny said that night as he slid his suit jacket off in the closet. He knew they had been enquiring all evening about the family vacation, and had spotted Lily taking intensely with her as he settled the tab. Meg had already changed out of her dress and donned a short satin black robe with an even shorter matching negligee underneath. "Why are you apologising? Any normal family would be excited to be reunited, just mine is different. Always has been." She said donning a headband and beginning her skincare in the mirror. "But I'm your family now and I feel bad about it, if you like sweetheart, after this trip I can speak with the kids about it?" "You are, but it's not your burden to bear. Besides they are too young to worry about all that, Johnny it's fine I promise." She said with a soft smile as he approached her and wrapped his arms around her from behind. They were silent a few moments as he simply watched her rub serum and moisturiser into her face, but she caught his eye in the mirror and stopped placing both her hands on top of his and turning head slightly towards his, with their noses touching she whispered. "I really like what you said then...." "What about? Telling the kids?" He asked simply. "No, that you're my family. It's been a long time since I've felt like that." She said as her eyes filled with tears. "Well luckily for you I plan to keep this little arrangement for the long run... so you're stuck with me and them." He smirked kissing her nose before turning her in his arms and using his thumbs to wipe the escaped tears away.
