Meg woke up to the sunshine pouring in the tent. Although it was early she could feel the warmth embracing her, she noticed a weight to her left and it appeared Lily had cuddled up to her in the night and was resting against her shoulder, as she looked the other way she spotted she was resting her head slightly on Johnny too. It appeared the four had got quite cosy, as Jack had wanted them to.

She gently shuffled to get comfortable, hoping not to disturb her two neighbours when she felt her hand be grabbed sweetly, Johnny opened one eye and looked at her. "Thank you for camping out." He whispered making her smile. "I love you." He said barely so she could hear, leaving a silent kiss on her head. "I love you too Johnny." She whispered back snuggling closer to him.

A few hours later, the children had awoken and were full of energy, much to Johnny and Meg's surprise. After the late night they assumed they would be a little jaded. "Shall we swim today? It's so hot already!" Jack asked eagerly, before Lily added "Yes Meg! We can lay out and top up our tans. Saturday we leave for Maman's for two whole weeks!" She said rather sadly. "Course.. but let's go get changed and get some sun screen on, I don't want you to burn." Meg added kindly before the kids rushed off and Johnny reached out his hand to his girlfriend. "What about the tent?" She asked. "We'll get it sorted don't worry.. for now let's just enjoy our time." He kissed her passionately before leading her up to the house.

After an hour of being in the pool, Meg slowly climbed out and headed to a lounger where she had placed her towel and book earlier in the day, she stood drying off looking over at Johnny with his children, happily fooling around in the water. "J, you need some sunscreen on, you've been in the sun hours already." She said knowingly that he was not patient enough to sit and re apply sun lotion every few hours in the year or so they had known one another. "Yeah I promise I'll get out shortly. Jack is just perfecting his dive.. look!" Johnny said proudly as Meg watched on. She got onto the lounger and pushed her sunglasses onto her head as she watched the youngest child dive into the deep end elegantly. "Well done!" She said cheerily clapping as Lily got out the water and approached. "Would it be ok to lay out with you?" Meg bit her lip and smiled. "God of course. It's your pool, your home! I'm your guest." She giggled nervously before Lily rolled her eyes. "You're not a guest. Your Dad's girlfriend!" Meg smiled before Lily picked up the bottle of sunscreen. "I'm sorry. I know you did me and Jack earlier but I have that shoot with Mama next week and if I have lines she'll just die" Lily giggled. Meg sat up, "of course not. Sit here." She tapped the lounger and poured some into her hands. A few moments went by before Lily said "what book are you reading?" "Oh umm just one I picked up the other day randomly. Press were hounding me whilst I was at the mall so I snuck into a little book store and found it. I've not got too far into it yet." Lily picked up the book and admired it and read the back before quoting "an unexpected holiday romance leads to more in the most unusual way." Meg shrugged her shoulders before saying "I'm only four chapters in, we've been really busy since landing haven't we?" Lily nodded before saying "you and Dad can have some ALONE time next week when we are in Paris with Mama." Meg's eyes widened. "Yes and I promise I'll get that book finished so I can give you a decent review." "Oh my god yes. What an idea. We can start our own Meg and Lily book club!!" Lily said excitedly before thanking the woman and running off inside to order another copy of Meg's book making her giggle. Johnny happily watching the interaction from where he was leaning on the side of his pool.
