"She's here!!" Poppy said scurrying from the foyer into the living room. "Good god girl keep your hair on" Alice said standing from the couch. "Let's get this show on the road... remember..." Meg said turning to Poppy. "Yeah yeah yeah, you're single and you and Johnny are just friends." Meg nodded before heading to the front door and opening it. As she swung it open, a large coat was thrown into her arms and her mother pushed her way into the house. "Well well well.. is this where my daughters are residing now?" She said turning her nose up in the air as she wandered around looking into various rooms. "Meghan." "Ian" Meg greeted her step father coldly, there had never been any major relationship ever and that's the way they both liked it. "I'd say come on in, but looks like Mom already has." Meg said sarcastically hanging her mother's coat up in a nearby closet. "Darling, that's vintage do be careful." Meg opened her mouth before closing it and nodding. "Is Poppy around?" "Straight through there." Meg gestured as the pair wandered into the living room.

"Goodness Mr Depp. You do get around don't you." Sharon said boldly. "Excuse me?" Johnny replied quietly sitting back down after greeting the woman who was his girlfriend's mother. "Well I just meant you know, you were at the gathering last night and here this morning. Surely you and Alice have ran out of things to talk about." Alice's eyes widened as Dan and Poppy smirked. "I'm not sure they've done a lot of talking since he's been here Mom." Dan said with a smile making Meg roll her eyes in jest. "Oh darling boy, look at you. More dashing than ever. Are you losing weight? Polly are you feeding him?" The daughter in law in question gasped "Of course." "Mom, Polly takes good care of me you know that." Sharon nodded before turning to Meg. "Well don't just stand there like a silly goose, come on, be a good host, where are everyone's drinks?" Sharon said before she cackled as if what she said was a good joke. Meg nodded before taking everyone's preference and headed into the kitchen.

Arriving back in the living room with a tray of drinks Meg heard "Well I really don't see what was wrong with him. She was the one who waltzed off on a tour with strange men, he had every right to be put out. God if I left Ian here to fend for himself for an entire summer I'm sure he would get miffed!" "Mum he was more than miffed. Since when was Uncle a strange man!?? Alex was trying to control her and besides she's allowed to make her own decisions, she doesn't need to justify them." Poppy said leaning back on the couch beside an awkward looking Travis. "I never liked the prick." He added making Dan smirk and Johnny chuckle. "No I don't think John did either did you boy?" Alice asked. "Did you not Johnny?" Sharon asked. "He wasn't my biggest fan but I guess its because I grew quite protective over your daughter." He said kindly as Meg made herself known and handed out various drinks. "Oh darling we were just discussing how sad it is your single again." Sharon said pretending to care as Meg sat down on a large foot stall. "Oh I thought you were discussing what a bad choice you thought I had made?" Meg said confronting her mother. "Well it might not have been your best. And giving up so easily, you know he's shacked up with some other woman already? That's because you didn't try! I believe they are planning to marry." Meg shrugged "and you're telling me because?" "Because he's clearly moved on, and you're sat single back living with your sister in your Uncle's house!" Sharon said loudly. "It's actually Johnny's house." Alice said quietly before Sheryl interrupted "The girls seem happy Sharon, things are different now, leave Meg alone." Meg smiled silently thanking her aunt.

Once Sharon had gotten over her sister telling her off she turned to Poppy. "And who's this young man again?" Poppy rolled her eyes before Meg jumped in. "This is... this is Travis." "And how do you fit in around here? Don't tell me you're the butler!" Sharon cackled once more, but was the only one in the room laughing. "I'm Johnny's second in command when it comes to security." "He needs security to sit in his own house??" Sharon asked confused. "Umm no not quite. See he doesn't live here." "Yet." Poppy said under her breath but both Johnny and Meg heard her and gave her a look. "He doesn't live here?" "No, he owns most of the property on this road though that's why he so kindly allowed me and now Poppy to come and live in one when I moved." Meg said , she felt she was stating the obvious. "Oh how generous. So you're here to ensure that we aren't crazy fans?" Sharon asked almost flirting with Travis. "No it's more of a personal visit actually" the latter said awkwardly. "Mom!! Why doesn't Meg show you guys around?" Dan piped up making his sister give him an evil look but at least she knew that way she could get her away from her boyfriend and Travis for a while.

"Well I still don't see how you can afford this Meghan. I hope you're not taking advantage of Mr Depp." Meg stopped on the stairs that they were descending. "Mom! I pay my way, always have done thank you. Besides Poppy has a job now too so she will be contributing." "See if you married well you wouldn't need to worry about money." "Mom! Marriage isn't about money!" "No I suppose you're right. I just want my girls to be happy." "And we are." Meg said as they made their way back into the living room where she spotted Poppy snuggling up to Travis. The traces of her hangover reappearing. Meg's eyes widened as she span around and hugged her mother who was shocked, Meg turned her mum around until Poppy moved back to her original seat and gave a very rude hand gesture to her baby sister behind her mother's back making everyone smirk. "Oh well, I do miss you Meg." Sharon said cupping her daughter's face. Meg nodded before pulling back. "Now about that lunch?" Johnny said taking a sigh of relief.
