"Johnny's here!!!" Poppy yelled up the stairs as Meg was finishing her make up. She was incredibly nervous, going out for dinner publicly with Johnny for the first time. Luckily her amazing little sister had gifted her a beautiful black halter neck cocktail dress with a plunging yet elegant neckline for her birthday and she planned to wear it that very evening. "Okay..." Meg yelled back standing and heading to her bedroom door. She tightened her little satin robe and headed down the stairs where Johnny was chuckling about something with Poppy in the foyer. He had donned a sharp black suit with a crisp white shirt that was undone right down to the start of his waistcoat showing off multiple necklaces. His hair was swept back as if he had been running his fingers through it all day, and he looked incredibly handsome. Poppy was in a very glitzy dress smiling and giggling and looked up as Meg made it to the last few stairs. "Well here she is now... we better be off. Aunt Sheryl tried real hard to get these reservations. Have the best night sis." She lent in and hugged her sister before quickly saying bye to Johnny before heading out the open front door where she assumed her aunt and uncle had already gone. "Have a fun evening Pops!" Meg called before turning to Johnny. "Woah.." he said and her eyebrows furrowed, she wasn't even dressed. "You look sublimely beautiful my love." She smiled before wrapping her arms around his neck. "You're in big trouble Mr.." she said jokingly. "Oh?" Johnny asked with a smile. "You can't spend that sort of money on me, it was obscene." "But Poppy said it was all things you liked.." Johnny said tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear tenderly. "God it was, but even still!" Meg giggled. "Just let me do this darling, I love taking care of my girl, it's nothing less than you deserve, and let's face it, you loved it." Meg nodded biting her lip almost embarrassed to admit that she did. "Anyway... you've got one more gift." Johnny said reaching into one of his pockets. Meg's eyes widened, and widened even further when she saw a luxury looking jewellery box. Johnny slowly opened it and revealed a very elegant diamond necklace, it was dainty, and sophisticated. "Johnny..." Meg said in almost a whisper. Her fingertips gently touched it before she found the words. "It's stunning." She said shaking her head. "I can't accept this." "You can.. it's a special day."
"I'm sorry I'm not ready. I'll be two minutes!" Meg said a while later after multiple kisses and thank yous. "Don't rush. It's ok..." "I would say make yourself at home but it is your home so ummm I'll be as fast as I can." She said heading up the stairs. "You're worth the wait." Johnny called behind her before heading into the sitting room checking his phone.
After Meg had returned dressed in her killer cocktail dress. She donned the necklace with a little help from Johnny, standing in front of the large mirror in the foyer, she admired it. "I'm so lucky, thank you again Johnny." He smiled before leaning in and kissing her. "You're welcome.. now we are going to be late. Come on!" He said with his trademark smile. He grabbed her hand and led her out the house to a waiting car. Johnny kindly held the door open for her as she climbed in and slid across to the furthest seat. "Happy Birthday Meg." Sean said from the passenger seat. "Thanks Sean!" "Yes, Happy birthday love!" Mark said from the driver's seat. "Thank you, wait no Travis tonight?" "Umm no, he had plans." Sean quickly said looking forward once more as they began the drive.
"Where are we going?" Meg asked excitedly. "Somewhere special that I know you're going to love!" Johnny said from beside her. In the dark car, all Meg could smell was Johnny's trademark scent, Tobacco and Sauvage. "Is it far?" Meg asked excitedly making the three men smirk. "It's a little drive.. nothing major." Johnny replied before continuing "So you never told me, what did I end up buying you?" He said genuinely interested. Meg blushed and looked at her lap. Johnny reached out and grabbed her hand. "Stop fretting about it... just enjoy it!" He said. "Umm, a few dresses, a bag, and a blouse." She said quickly before biting her lip. "I'll pay you back every cent though." "I won't accept it!" Johnny said chuckling. "Looking forward to seeing the dresses." He said with a wink before Sean said "Do handbags not do it for you then boss?" This made Meg chuckle.
Eventually, the car pulled up somewhere and Meg looked around out the window. It was deserted, "Where are we?" She asked. "Well, I wanted to do something you loved, and you know I'm not much of a dancer so you'll have to bare with me, but..." Johnny nudged his head towards a building and Meg widened her eyes recognising the side of the Salsa Club. "Woahh, are you sure?" She said with a huge smile. "That's a lot of people Johnny!!" Meg said concerned. "It will be ok, trust me." Meg nodded before Sean turned. "Ready?" Meg nodded before climbing out the car after Johnny, they walked hand in hand to the main door. For a Saturday night it seemed fairly quiet, almost as if it was closed. She had never seen it that quiet before. Johnny opened one of the double doors and Meg didn't hear the familiar music like normal, her eyebrows furrowed. "Johnny, I don't know if it's open?" She said fairly disappointed, when all of a sudden Poppy appeared out of nowhere. "Oh my god! You scared me!" Meg said. "Ha, well surprise!!" "Johnny mentioned he wasn't much of a dancer so thought I best come so you're not on the floor by your lonesome all night." She said wrapping her elder sister in a hug. "And Johnny.. you're welcome, that dress looks hot as fuck on my sister." Meg's jaw dropped open. "Poppy!" She scolded. "No no, I agree." Johnny said smirking with a wink before sliding his arm around Meg's bare back. Poppy began to lead the way into the main dance hall before slipping back beside Meg. The latter was chatting mindlessly to Johnny thanking him for doing this even though dancing wasn't his thing, when the large double doors opened, and a huge crowd let off party cannons and yelled. "Surprise!!!!!!!"
Meg stopped in her tracks, and almost dropped her clutch bag in shock. She saw so many of the familiar faces of her friends and family, it completely blew her mind. She had never been thrown a surprise party before, and she bit her lip to hide her emotion before turning to Poppy who nodded with a huge smile. Meg immediately wrapped her sister in a hug before pulling back and looking at a very smug Johnny who was rubbing his jaw and smiling. Meg didn't even think twice before wrapping her arms around him and smacking a kiss on his smirking lips before pulling back and her eyes widening in shock.
