"Surprise!!!" Lily-Rose and Jack emerged from the sitting area gleefully greeting their father. Johnny was shocked to say the least and wrapped his two gods in his big strong arms. "What?! I thought you were meant to be with your mother until tomorrow?" "Well we wanted to surprise you!!" Lily exclaimed and Jack smirked "are you shocked Dad?" "Very much so!! How did you two pull this off?" He asked as the kids led him into the living room. "Meg helped!" Jack said proudly. "Her and Lily have been texting about it.." Johnny turned to his girlfriend and smiled. He knew the relationship between his eldest and his girlfriend had been a little tense but he was pleased that in recent months it seemed to have been going well. "You text?" "Well derrrr" added Lily "How else are we going to speak about the best man in the world without boosting his ego even more?" "Me??" Jack asked hopefully with a cheeky wink. "Papa!" Lily giggled. Johnny kissed his daughter's head before sitting beside his girlfriend. "So if you two have been planning and texting what is the big plan then??"

"Well I'm well chuffed at this." Johnny said leaning back on the couch with his legs on the table. He had showered and changed into some comfies, his kids were sat either side of him catching up, and Meg had offered to make Grilled Cheese sandwiches in the kitchen for lunch. "You said you missed your home comforts so a cosy day seemed the best way to welcome you home." Lily said. "Dad... tomorrow can I show you what I've learnt on the guitar.. I've finally nailed that track." Jack added as the woman wandered in balancing three plates in her hand stacked with sandwiches and potato chips. "Not my best gourmet meal I have to say." Meg said with a smirk. She had also changed into sweats and kept her band tee on. "This looks great!! Thanks Meg!!" Jack quickly dived in, whereas Lily remained more elegant, thanking the woman before taking a bite. "I'll be right back," Meg said as she headed to retrieve her own plate. "I really like that you're making an effort with Meg darling, thank you." Johnny said kissing his daughter's cheek. "She's nice Dad. I just don't want to lose you." "And you won't doll. I swear."

Johnny climbed into bed beside his girlfriend that evening and thanked her profusely for her efforts. "It was nothing, just a plan me and the kids cooked up. We are just so glad to have you home." She said with a smile. "So have you thought about your Uncle's gig on Friday?" "Yeah I'll be there. I guess I'll just see you there.." "well I was thinking, I hate this going separate and being secretive. Let's just be normal." "Normal?" Meg questioned. "Yeah I wanna take my girl to a gig, and damn it I'm gonna do it." He said pulling her body flush with his. "Well your girl loves that idea but only if you're sure. Once we go public there's no going back." "I know but I'm ready as long as you are. We've been dating what 6 months. It's time."

The next day after making the children and Johnny breakfast, Meg announced she was heading home, she wanted to give the kids some time with their father and was quite shocked that Lily of all people insisted she stayed. She agreed to stay until lunchtime but claimed she had work to be getting on with after that. When she arrived home she rushed up to her bedroom and began rifling through her wardrobe. If she was coming out publicly as Johnny's girlfriend she had to look the part, and her glam rock chic wardrobe didn't exactly say girlfriend of a rockstar and Hollywood icon. Soon though she heard the familiar yell from her baby sister. "I'm home!!!" "Hey pops I'm up here." She heard her sister rush up the stairs before she announced "I'm gonna hit the gym." "Ok see ya later." Meg yelled back before pulling out a leather look pencil skirt and holding it up against a band tee.

Hope you're ok gorgeous. I almost miss you more knowing you're so close, you know you could have stayed again, the kids were on board with it. X x

Don't be silly. They need time with you. I can't be selfish. Besides aren't they off to their mother's tomorrow? Why don't I come to you and cook for you, and we can give Trav and Pops this place. X x

Meg showered and changed into some loungewear before preparing dinner for herself and her sister. Poppy soon returned to the house and was filling her elder sibling in with all the gossip from her office. "What's up with you?" The younger asked. "I'm sorry I'm fine." "No you're not Meg, what's the matter?" "Umm I think Johnny and I are going public soon." "Woah, that's great right?" "I guess. I'm just so scared. I know I'll never be good enough for him and going public will just confirm that." "Hey don't be silly. That's a fool's thinking. He loves you, you love him, who gives a shit what anyone thinks?" "I do Pops!!" "Well it's about time you stopped... all that matters is you and the man who makes you happy."
