"You look beautiful. Truly stunning." Johnny said after taking the candid photo and placing the camera down on a nearby table. The pair were in the Bahamas, at an exclusive resort with just a handful of villas. Meg was attending her very first public event as Johnny's girlfriend. The Bahamas Film Festival, an event Johnny had attended previously and vowed to support. Meg had managed to get ready almost a whole hour prior to him being ready, before she wandered out onto the terrace and now he had finally found her. "Oh stop." She blushed turning from the pretty view. "I seriously mean it. You'll blow them away." "God I hope I don't fall flat on my face." "You won't. I won't let go of your hand I promise." "Johnny, you'll have to. You'll have autographs to sign, people to hug." "Doll, it's really not that big of an event." He looked rather dapper in his suit, and she slowly got down off the wall and neatened his collar before kissing him. "I'm still so grateful you invited me. What a beautiful part of the world." She said sweetly. "It's the closest thing to Paradise doll."
It really didn't take long to arrive at the venue, and Meg saw a large crowd gathered, how Johnny could claim this was a smaller event was beyond her. She took a deep breath, quickly lent in to admire her lipstick in the rear view mirror and turned to her boyfriend. "Ready?" He asked with a smile and she nodded smiling. Johnny opened his door, and was immediately greeted by Sean, who held the door open for Meg to slide out which she did elegantly, before flattening out her dress and looking up at the crowd. Flashes blinded her immediately but she kept her cool, and was reassured when she felt the familiar ring clad hand grab her tiny one and give it a gentle squeeze. "Let's do this.." he whispered under his breath as they began to walk the carpet. Many people screamed and cheered for Johnny, and he happily waved and stopped at various points. Meg stood awkwardly to the side with Sean and Malcolm looking on. She loved watching Johnny with his supporters. It was almost magical how loved and adored he was. She just hoped he knew it.
They eventually made their way to the press area and Meg took a step back, she didn't even know how far until Johnny looked behind him and reached his hand out, pulling her back towards him as he protectively put an arm around her lower back. Meg smiled the best she could before turning to Johnny and he looked deep in her eyes smiling. "Thank you for putting up with all this circus." "Thank you for choosing me.." she whispered back before they both nodded and silently agreed that was enough, and Meg moved closer to the doors to the venue where Sean and Malcolm stood watch. Johnny posed for a short while on his own before they all entered the event.
As they arrived back to their villa late at a night. Meg lent against the wall and took off her shoes. She returned down to her small height and Johnny shrugged off his suit jacket placing it on a nearby chair. "Darling, you did wonderful." Meg said proudly. "Thank you, and you my darling look ravishing.." Meg smiled sweetly. "I hope I did you proud." Johnny approached and his eyebrows furrowed. "Of course, I couldn't be prouder to call you my girl. You do know that don't you?" Meg nodded, still slightly nervous at the life that she now led but smiled reassuring him. "How about we shower, cool down, and get into bed.. we get to go to paradise tomorrow." Johnny said happily. "Get into bed?? When there's champagne to be drunk?" Meg tipped her head towards an ice bucket on a nearby table. "Nobody said anything about sleeping darling." Johnny smirked as he span her in his arms and unbuttoned her dress making her giggle.
The next morning, Meg awoke and wrapped a robe round herself before heading out to the terrace. It was still early, and she allowed the warm rays of sunshine to embrace her body, sitting at the bistro table she watched the world go by before being interrupted by her phone ringing. Answering it she instantly regretted it. "Darling..." "Mum.." "I'm surprised you answered. Isn't it early in LA?" "Well lucky for you I'm not in LA." "You're not?" "No." Meg said sternly. "Tell me.. are you working your way back to Alex?" "No god no mum.. why would you say that?" "It's just a little birdie told me he's engaged but you know that means nothing until he signs the paper." "Mum!!!" "I'm just saying that man had good prospects. I don't want you to suffer." "I'm not suffering, I'm just fine thank you." "Yes I saw online you were at your Uncle's concert. Johnny was a little handsy wasn't he?" "Handsy?" "Yes some kid shared a photo of him with his arms around you. Of course I thought it was a bit much but you youngsters have always been over the top with affection." Meg rolled her eyes. Would she ever be comfortable telling her mother that her and Johnny were in a relationship? "Anyway was there a reason you called?" Meg asked. "I just wanted to catch up. We are off back to France today." "Lovely." Meg said staring around not interested in the slightest. "We are still hoping all the family can join us on summer break." "Well we'll see." "Ok darling. Must dash, the train is about to leave." "Bye." "Bye, love you!"
Meg hung up the phone and closed her eyes taking a deep breath. How her and her mother shared the same DNA she would never know. Her thought was interrupted by a clearing of a throat. She turned and saw Johnny in just his boxers. "Morning Angel." He smirked lighting up. "Good Morning..." she replied as he sat next to her pulling her legs onto his lap. "Ready to visit paradise?"
