"Ok... I hold my hands up. I'm done." Poppy said standing up from the couch. It was the early hours. "Well I'm surprised you've lasted this long. I don't even know what time zone you're on now. Go get some rest." Meg said standing too. "Remember where your room is?" "I am not that drunk Meg!!" Poppy giggled tipsy. She hugged her elder sister tight. "I know I'm pretty crappy at being a sister but I do love you, and I am proud of you. I shoulda been here with all that shit with Alex. I'm sorry." "Hey don't be. I would be more like you if I was the baby I'm sure" "Love ya Megs." "Love you too Pops." "See ya Johnny, thanks for letting me stay here." "Lovely to meet you. We'll hang out more I'm sure. No problem. Treat it as if it's your home." "Night guys."

Poppy left the room and headed upstairs. Meg was careful to tiptoe to the living room door and ensure her sister was fully upstairs before turning to Johnny. "I'm so sorry." She said nervously. The fire had almost died out and the only light was coming from the Christmas tree in the corner. "What for darling?" Johnny said lifting his arm inviting her into his embrace. She slowly made her way over. "For her being here. Her intrusive questions, everything." "Don't be.. she's great, she's protective obviously and I guess she feels like she misses out on so much of your life she wants to throw herself into it now she's back." "Yeah but we aren't Lily's age, I mean look how she acted when she met you, how is she gonna react if I tell her I'm dating you." "Well right now you're not kissing me..." Johnny smirked so she lent in and passionately kissed him. "I missed you." "I missed you more. Feels like it's been days..." "it's been two.. so technically it's been a while." "Doll... what are your plans tomorrow?" "Oh god Poppy if she's able wants to do all the touristy things and then I thought I would take her to that Salsa club after dinner. She likes getting all glammed up so I thought it would be a nice treat. Besides she's probably not had a decent dinner in months." "I don't know... sounds like the travelling lifestyle suits her." "Maybe, I just wish she would look after herself more." "Spoken like a true elder sister. Christi says it to me all the time." Johnny smirked. "Why do you ask?" "Well Lily has a shoot tomorrow with her Mum downtown, and Jack has his music lesson in the morning. I thought maybe you could come over and do some work." "Work?" Meghan questioned with a smile. "Yes.. otherwise we won't get to spend any time with each other until after the holiday." "Johnny we are spending all of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day together." "Yeah and 30 of our closest friends and family for fuck sake." "J, we said we wanted to take this slow... that meant not telling people." "Well it's tough being so close yet so far from you." "I know but we will make it work... but yes I suppose I can fit some work in tomorrow... I'll let her sleep off the jet lag and hangover and come over first thing..." "Amazing..." "I should get going." "Feels weird you not staying..." "well unless you want your baby sister putting two and two together it's for the best." "I know.. and thank you for coming over." "Anytime.." "even though you didn't get what you came for?" "But I leave with a promise of tomorrow so how can a man not be happy." Johnny chuckled as Meg showed him out. "Lock this door behind me?" "Yes Sir." She giggled. "God now I really wanna stay." Johnny smirked before kissing her passionately. He gently pushed her up against the front door. After a few moments he pulled back and she was incredibly flustered, she had a rosy tint to her cheeks, her lips were swollen and her hair was messy. "Night sweetness." "Good Night Johnny." She said smiling leaning on the door as he walked down the drive.

The next morning, Meghan woke up and got dressed. She donned a cute mini skirt, patterned tights, a black body suit that enhanced her figure and chunky ankle boots. She left a note on the kitchen island for her sister before grabbing her coat and heading out to Johnny's. She was a little earlier than planned but luckily the excuse of work meant she could come and go as she pleased.

Walking into the driveway of Johnny's house she saw a blacked out Mercedes parked right outside the front door. A rather elegantly dressed woman was stood in an incredibly chic outfit leaning against the vehicle. A man dressed in a suit was sat waiting to drive the car and the security guy she knew as Lenny was close by. The elegant woman put her phone in her bag before looking up and removing her sunglasses. "Enchanté!" She said happily. "I'm Vanessa.. and you are?" She questioned. Her voice was soft, and had a beautiful French accent even though her English was so well delivered. "Oh, Vanessa. As in Vanessa Vanessa?" Meghan stumbled. This was Johnny's ex and the mother of his children. She was shell shocked, she had spent one thanksgiving with her but they barely spoke. She now felt incredibly awkward against this beautiful woman. Looking quickly down at her own outfit compared to Vanessa's chic look she felt completely inadequate. What was it that Johnny saw in her she thought? After being with Vanessa for years, surely Meg wasn't his actual type? The French mother's confused look broke her out her many thoughts. "Sorry. I'm Meghan, Meghan Godard, I'm Alice and Sheryl Cooper's niece. I'm staying in 597 Sweetzer for a while.. I'm now working as part of Johnny, Mr Depp's, ummm his social media team." Meghan stumbled. Vanessa nodded slowly, "Oh Meghan, I've heard so much about you from the children!" Vanessa gushed. "You have?" The woman responded. "Yes. Goodness, they rave about you. I think it's nice." "You do?" "Well yes. It's no secret that the last woman Johnny got serious with was a total nightmare. It was hell towards the end. The children would refuse to see him if she was around. It put me in a very awkward position." Meghan's eyes widened. Did she know that Johnny and her were dating? "Yes I had heard that they weren't her biggest fan but then again who is? I think it's fantastic he can now move on with his life." "Me too. He deserves happiness." "He does." "If you're heading in would you mind hurrying up my daughter. I swear she's taking longer and longer these days, and the shoot won't wait forever." "Oh umm of course. Just give me a minute." Meghan said heading into the house.

She walked into the foyer rather confused after her conversation with Vanessa but set out to find Lily. She looked around the living area and couldn't locate anybody so made her way upstairs and headed to the room blaring pop music. She gently knocked on the door and there was no answer before she knocked again. "Lily.. it's me Meghan." "Come in." The teen responded. "Sorry to disturb, I bumped into your mother on the drive. She wanted me to hurry you along." "Ohhh ok fine... honestly she doesn't wait for anyone!!" "I just think she doesn't want you to be late that's all. She cares." "Yeah but it can get annoying." "Take it from somebody who's mum who doesn't care... I would rather have yours." Lily smiled. "I'm sorry, I didn't realise you had issues with your mum." "Hey I'm used to it; I don't need sympathy, but just know it could be worse." Meghan giggled before Lily rushed over and hugged the woman. "Well I'm sorry. Everyone deserves a caring mother. I'm sorry you don't have one." "What's going on here then?" Johnny arrived in the doorway shocked to see Lily and Meghan so close. "Vanessa asked me to hurry Lily up and we were just discussing Mothers." "You met Vanessa?" Johnny said shocked. "Umm yes sorry, she was on your drive when I arrived." "Don't be sorry I was just surprised. Well Lily your mother is right you are going to be late." "Ok ok, I'm going!!!" The teen said smiling before hugging her father and rushing out the room.
