Chapter Fifty

After multiple nights over the course of three weeks of sneaking Johnny into her own home, Meg had gotten quite used to the idea and even looked forward to the ritual.

Now four days prior to her big birthday, she sat having a quiet dinner with her sister. "I can't believe you start a proper job on Monday." Meg said proudly. "I know, crazy right! I knew that fitness qualification would help me one day." Poppy said sipping her wine. "You should be proud." Meg said lifting her glass. "Thanks Megs and thank you for everything." "Don't be silly, what are big sisters for." "So you ready for your birthday weekend?" Poppy asked knowing the full plan of a surprise party. "Umm yeah I guess, I still think it's crazy that Sheryl and Alice wanna fly in but each to their own. Dan said he'll come down in a few weekends time, something about work or something." Meg said resuming eating her pasta. "And your fancy man?" Poppy asked smiling. "My what?" Meg choked on her dinner. "Your guy... will he be joining in our celebrations?" "We'll have to see. I don't know." Meg said with wide eyes. Poppy simply nodded and finished eating.

A few hours later, Meg was on her laptop sat on the couch, a habit of hers since having to wait up for Johnny. He had spent time with his children since the past weekend so this would be their first night together in a week. She was so excited but really wanted her sister to go to bed. Meg faked a yawn and said "I might go up and have a bubble bath..." Poppy nodded knowingly. "Yeah I guess I'm ready to call it a night..." the pair switched off the lights and headed up the staircase together making small talk and eventually went their separate ways. Luckily their bedrooms were opposite ends of the house. Meg quickly text Johnny as she entered her en suite and ran the taps to keep up appearances of "having a bath"

After waiting the usual 5-10 minutes and after changing into a little slip and satin robe, Meg threw her hair off her face and opened the bedroom door ready to quietly head downstairs. She made it all the way to the foyer and checked her phone.

On the drive x

She smiled before looking up and noticing the lights were all on downstairs. She then heard the Tv. Wandering into the living area that had double doors off the foyer she saw her sister sitting on the couch under a blanket. "Poppy!!! What are you doing?" "FUCK!! you scared me!!" "I thought you were in bed?" Meg said shocked. "I decided I wanted to stay up for a while and watch a movie." Meg's eyebrows shot up in shock. She knew by now Johnny would be the other side of the front door waiting for it to be opened by her. She stood in the foyer staring into the living room failing to believe her sister. "YOU WANTED TO STAY UP AND WATCH A MOVIE??" Meg said loudly hoping Johnny would hear through the door. "YES!" Poppy said giggling. "Why are you shouting??" "I'M NOT SHOUTING. NOBODY HAS GONE TO BED SO I CAN BE AS LOUD AS I WANT." Meg repeated hoping Johnny got the hint. "You're so weird." Poppy said before returning to her show. "And haven't you left the bath running?" She asked curiously. "Oh fuck shit bollocks." Meg said skidding out the living room and up the stairs before also trying to text Johnny.

Meg rushed into her bedroom and into the en suite and quickly turned off the taps. She then heard something hitting the balcony doors. She rushed over to them and unlocked them before peering out. Johnny was stood in the back yard to the side in the shadows with a bottle of wine by his feet and was throwing stones. "Doll?" He asked in a hushed whisper. "Shhhhh!!" She said as she shrugged looking round for a way to get him in. "Basement!!" He said pointing to the side door. "Ok!" She said almost giggling at the scenario. Rushing back downstairs with a laundry basket she feigned a cheerful wave to her sister before heading down to the basement. "I thought you were having a bath and going to bed??" Poppy shouted without taking her eyes of the Tv. "I am!!!!" Meg shouted. "What??" She heard Johnny whisper through the door. "Shhh!" She replied. "What???" Poppy shouted loudly. "NOTHING!!!" Meg shouted up the stairs. She let Johnny in who immediately wrapped his arms around his girl. "Well I've never had to go to that much effort to sneak into my own house before!" He chuckled before kissing her. "I'll distract her. You go up the back staircase ok?" "Oooo I like it when you're in charge.." he said wriggling his eyebrows. "Get upstairs Mr Depp..." she said rolling her eyes and giggling.

Meg made her way back to the foyer. "Right I'm off to bed now. Night Pops." "I said goodnight to you about an hour ago!! Laters." She said waving off her sister. Meg rushed up the stairs relieved. She quickly headed into her bedroom and shut the door. She found Johnny sat on the edge of her bed waiting for her smiling. "Well now do I get a proper hello?" He said standing. "You do..." she said sauntering over to him. "You look insane." He murmured against her lips. "Well I feel like I'm a sweaty flustered mess now after trying to get you in and it's not got the effect I desired." "Oh don't you worry.... It definitely works for me."

After a long sensual night together, Meg and Johnny fell asleep tangled naked in each other's arms. They hadn't fallen asleep until gone 3am and both were exhausted from their activities. Meg woke to a knocking on the door and rolled over sleepily. She mumbled against her pillow before feeling Johnny beside her. "Shit." She whispered sitting up. "Meg?" She heard her sister knock again. Johnny grumbled before sitting up shocked at the situation. "Megs?" "Yeah?" The woman said nervously. "I've made you coffee." "Oh, umm just leave it there I'll be out in a minute.. and thank you Poppy." "No sweat... and Meg?" "Yes Poppy?" The elder sister said rolling her eyes holding the sheets to her chest. "Does Johnny want one?"
