Chapter Fifty Three

After a wonderful evening at a lovely restaurant having dinner celebrated Meg's birthday, the group returned to Meghan's home. "The press are vicious aren't they?" Poppy said kicking off her heels in the foyer. "Jeeez I don't know how you put up with it Alice." She added heading into the kitchen. "It's Johnny that has it the worst." Sheryl said as she hung her jacket up. "So we are just gonna glance over the fact it's gone midnight and you're in my niece's house with no intention to return to your own aren't we?" Alice chuckled leaning on the wall. "Yeah works for me." Johnny said as he took out yet another cigarette. "Well you remember we've got a fun day planned tomorrow with Pops. I'm gonna head up." Sheryl said cuddling Meghan as the younger sister reappeared. "Thank you for flying in, and for dinner." Meg said sincerely hugging her aunt. "Alice don't be too long." Sheryl said as she saw the two men head out the back terrace doors. Poppy smiled "I can't wait for tomorrow, you're gonna love it." "Am I?" Meg questioned unsure. "Yes it's a day, just the three of us. How could you not love it?" Poppy said with a smile. "And how nice of Johnny to take you out tomorrow night." "I'm still scared about that, what if we are seen?" "Oh nonsense. He's not stupid, he wouldn't have offered if he didn't want it. Now goodnight girls." Sheryl made her way upstairs leaving Meg and Poppy to head into the living room. They sat down on the couch and were giggling away when eventually Alice and Johnny returned in the room.

"So as apparently this is the weekend for meeting guys, is your new fella joining us at any point?" Alice said to Poppy, knowing full well about the big surprise party happening the following evening. "Noooo. It's over." Poppy said casually. "Over??" Meg said shocked, "yes, he's a jerk." "Oh." Meg said, how had she not realised that her sister had split from a guy she had been seeing for a good few weeks? "Sorry to hear that Poppy." Johnny said sipping his wine. "Don't be. I'm over it. Anyway, I've got my eyes on somebody else." "Somebody else?" Alice looked shocked. "Jeez you don't wait do you?" Meg smirked. "Oh come off it, I'm not like you. Little miss sensible." Johnny scoffed. "Well I'm sure you know everyone just wants you to be happy." Alice said sincerely. Poppy nodded. "Right kids I'm off to bed. Night all." The older rockstar said. Johnny smirked as he held his cheek out watching as Alice kissed both his nieces goodnight. "You're lucky I don't clock ya one boy." Alice chuckled but ruffled Johnny's hair in a father like way making him smirk.
As Alice made his way upstairs, Poppy bounced in her seat. "See! You were worried about nothing!! God you two looked like you would throw up at any point telling them!!" Meg rolled her eyes. "Yes thank you Poppy." "I'm glad they are cool with it, but even if they weren't, it wouldn't stop me doll." He said cheekily to Meg. "Ok... come on. Its 1am, technically I'm already 30, so let's get to bed." "You go on up.. I'm just gonna have one more smoke." Johnny said standing as Poppy scrambled to her feet. "Yeah and I'll clear up here." Meg's eyebrows furrowed, since when had her sister been so domesticated? After a long day though she nodded and headed on up the stairs.

"Ok...so we are all set?" Johnny said quietly. "I think so. I've got her that dress for one of her birthday gifts, but if she doesn't like it then we can encourage her to buy something shopping tomorrow, she thinks you're taking her for dinner, but you'll come to the club for what 8? Dan text earlier, him and Polly arrived at their hotel this evening so everything is going to plan. I can't wait to see her face!!" Poppy said in a whisper. "She deserves it.. now tell me again what are your plans tomorrow?" Johnny said closing his tobacco tin, "breakfast here, shopping, lunch, spa afternoon before we come back here. Sheryl, Alice and I are gonna say we are heading out for dinner ourselves so we can leave without suspicion." Johnny nodded and smiled "This is gonna be brilliant... I'm sorry Matt is no longer coming." "Don't be. I'm over him. Besides, I'm banking on a dance with your Travis anyway, especially now I know he's not with my sister." Poppy said standing and heading out the room leaving Johnny shocked. He smirked at the sass of the little sister before heading upstairs himself to his girl's room.

"Thank you for a wonderful evening." Meg said cuddling up to Johnny. "Thank you... it almost felt normal tonight." "I know.. crazy huh?" "I'm glad we are making you feel special on your birthday" "Johnny, you always make me feel wonderful." He smiled and kissed her head before she lifted her head. "Johnny, are you sure about going out just the two of us?" His eyebrows furrowed "Yeah, why?" "What if we get photographed, the headlines.." he bit his lip, he hated her worrying but he knew that with the club being closed down for their function there was hardly a chance of photos being leaked. "Darling.. we'll be fine." He said with a smile and Meg rested her head back on his chest. "I can't believe you're wearing silk and I can't ravish you." Meg giggled at that comment. "What? Why?" "Because.. your fucking Uncle is in the room down the hall." Meg rolled her eyes "so we're never having sex again then?" She questioned. "Not whilst your uncle is close enough to chop my dick off.. no way." The pair giggled and for the first time in a long time, they both felt content and happy in a relationship.

"Johnny.." "yes doll?" "Dream of me."

"Always."
