Serenity

As i roll over in our bed, i can feel the coldness of empty sheets. I slowly blink my eyes open and realize Zep has left the bed. She's either out for a morning run or drinking coffee in the kitchen. Kahit na galing kami minsan sa puyatan ay maaga talaga nagigising si Zep. Hindi na nya ako ginigising minsan kapag alam nyang pagod ako kaya magigising na lang talaga ako minsan na wala sya sa tabi ko.

Medyo nararamdaman ko pa ang pagod mula sa kahapong laro namin pero kaylangan ko ng bumangon para tulungan si Zep na mag prepare ng breakfast namin. Sya kasi ang nagluluto tuwing umaga at dahil may iniinda pa itong sugat sa balikat nya ay kaylangan nya munang magpahinga at hindi gumalaw galaw. Mabuti na lang wala kaming practice ngayon at binigyan kami ni Mama ng pahinga. Sa Thursday pa naman ang next game namin kaya may ilang araw pa kaming paghahanda ulit.

When i flip the covers back and slip on my robe over my silk nightgown, i hit with the smell of fresh coffee and i know exactly where my fiancee is.

I quietly make my way down the stairs in hopes of not waking up Zari. Nasa amin na kasi si Zari ngayon dahil namimiss na namin ito. Ilang araw na naming hindi nakakasama ang baby namin na yun dahil sa daming ganap na nangyari samin ni Zep nitong mga nakaraang araw. Mabuti na lang at tinutulungan kami ni Tita Zoila na alagaan si Zari.

Pagdating ko sa kusina, nakita ko si Zep na nakasandal sa ibabaw ng counter na may hawak na phone sa isang kamay at isang tasa ng kape sa kabilang kamay. Nakasuot lang siya ng boxer short at sports bra which gives me a perfect view of her sexy back that i sometimes love to dig my nails into when being intimate under the sheets.

Napakagat ako ng labi sa naisip ko. Ang aga kasing magpa sexy ni Zep. Swerte ko talaga sa magiging asawa ko.

Zep is faced away from me and zoned into whatever she’s looking at on her phone, she doesn’t see or hear me when i come into the kitchen. I take a few steps forward until i am right up behind her sexy body and in a swift move, i wrap my arms around her warm back.

“Fuckin shit!” gulat na sabi ni Zep na ikinatawa ko.

“Didn’t mean to scare you. I just wanted a morning cuddle but you were gone and I came to find you.” I muttered with my cheek pressed into her back. Iniingatan ko din na hindi matamaan ang sugat nito sa kaliwang balikat nya.

Zep sets down her cup of black coffee and phone before turning around and wrapping her arms around my body as well. This in turn makes my arms go around her from front to back with my face pressed in her chest.

Both of us sway back and forth in the middle of the kitchen, arms wrapped around each other and enjoying the silence.

"Ang galing mo sa laro nyo kahapon, Baby." She softly said and kissed my forehead.

"Hmmm? Di ko ine-expect na matatalo namin sila ng wala ka."

"Kaylangan nyo lang kasi magtiwala sa galing nyo. You see? Kayang kaya nyo naman sila. Naghahalimaw ka nga din sa service."

"Thanks to you. Ikaw nagturo sakin kung pano pumalo ng malakas sa jump served." Kinurot kurot ko ang pisngi nito.

"Haha. I just gave you tips on how to jump properly and hit the ball more powerfully. You listened to me so you did well and you improved even more."

"Do you think we can beat Poseidon if we make it to the finals? I heard Tita Melvyr came home just to teach Melanie."

"Eh di ayos para mas galingan ni Melanie kapag nagkaharap kami" ngiti nito sa akin. "And to answer your question, Baby. I am not sure but i'm still studying them. In their game recently, I see a small hole in their game play, but I still need to study more carefully how to execute my plan. Poseidon is one of the best teams in the country today.
