“You said you figured out why now explain to me because I want to help.” I sat down across from Jake. He was on the phone with his parents or a while trying to figure out why they treat Natalie the way they do. It took some time but he finally figured out the real reason but wasn’t saying. I was unsure if I wanted to know because he actually looked appalled by their answer.
“Okay but after I tell you don’t say anything to Natalie I want to explain it to her.” I nodded my head and listened as he told me the reason behind their embarrassment. I couldn’t believe a single word he said but knew somewhere inside they were true.
“Wow, your parents are cruel.” Louis said bluntly. Although it was sad to say it he was right. That’s no reason to treat your child like they’re nothing and put her through a life of hell. It made me angry and wish that I could-.
Why do I feel so protective towards this girl? I’ve known her less than twenty four hours and I already feel like I’ve known her my whole life even though we barely have talked.
Jake voice snapped me back to the conversation
“I know Louis, I just wish I could have seen the signs before she got so far.” He sighed. We all knew what he was talking about, the bulling, cutting, and suicide. Louis and Jake talked about it for a while until the door opened and they shut up almost instantly. Natalie and Harry walked into the living room where we were.
Natalie’s gaze turned to the ground as she noticed we stopped when she entered the room. I felt guilty. She walked up the steps and up to her room I’m guessing. When we heard the door close we all started talking again.
“I’m going to tell her. She needs to know.” Jake got up and went to Natalie.
The boys turned to me with a smirk. I wasn’t too sure why though.
“You like Natalie don’t you?”
