I can’t believe I agreed to this. Why did I agree to this? Oh that’s right cause Niall asked and I couldn’t say no to him; he’s just too cute to say no to. Damn cuteness anyway.

Louise was having a field day with doing my hair and make-up. She also loved going through and finding a dress for me to wear to this award show. Unfortunately she said it had to be a dress and not like pants or shorts.

I didn’t like that. I wasn’t a dress person or a heel person; both of them weren’t ever my thing.

“Lou, can I please just wear some dressy pants or something?” I begged again for what felt like the millionth time that day. I was slightly annoyed at the petite blonde haired woman who was pulling out dresses right and left, knowing that every time I asked she would say no.

“No, besides I found the perfect dress.” She said before pulling a printed dress of a rack. I gaped at her, wondering what in the hell she was thinking. There was no way that I could even dream of pulling something like that off.

That design doesn’t look right on people my size, or that’s what people say at least. They think we should just wear plain colors and that we shouldn’t be trying to wear what these skinny girls are wearing.

“What do you not like it?” She asked noticing my expression. I bite my lip, not really knowing how to explain what I was feeling. I didn’t want to be rude about not the way it would look on me.

“I like it and everything; I just don’t think I’ll be able to pull something like that off.” I muttered. Subconsciously I started toying with my bracelets, knowing that the dress wouldn’t look good on me.

Louise’s lips formed a tight line as she thought on how to respond.

“How about we just try it on and then go from there?” She asked, stepping closer and handing me the dress. I looked at it for a second before sighing and taking the dress from her hands. She grinned at me and then pointed to the bathroom.

I went into the bathroom and stripped of my robe she had me wearing as I got my hair and make-up done.  I stepped into the dress, bringing the sleeves up to my shoulders.

“Lou, can you zip the dress for me?” I asked, opening the door slightly. She got out of the chair and hurriedly came to the bathroom door. Once she zipped it up, I turned around and faced her.

She smiled widely, looking at the dress and how it looked on my body.

“You look lovely Nat. The design is really pretty on you.” She complimented me. I frowned slightly thinking she was just saying that to make me feel better.

I looked at her unsure. She grabbed my shoulders and turned me around so I was facing the mirror. I gasped a little at how I looked.

The dress was fitted but it didn’t put my body shape in a bad light, instead it just made my curves look good. I turned to the side, inspecting the different angles. The rip at the top of the dress made it a little edgier than I would have thought.

I turned my head, smiling widely at Louise.

“I like this one.”

I mindlessly played with my phone as Liam and I sat in the dressing room, waiting. We only had a few more minutes until we were supposed to be leaving to head to the awards show. Louis and Zayn were out in the hallway, skating in the hallway I should say, and Harry is trying on different hats in the room next door with Caroline.

“Niall.” Louis called out in the hallway, elongating the l. I stood up, slipping my phone into my pocket before checking to see what Louis wanted.

“Wha-.” I stopped dead in my tracks as Natalie walked closer to us. She was looking down at the floor, obviously embarrassed that the three of us were watching her.  She looked beyond beautiful and I was really glad that I had asked her to be my date tonight.

“Well someone looks beautiful.” Louis whistled softly once Natalie was closer. Her cheeks became redder as she looked up at him. Giving him a slight glare because he whistled; she didn’t like being whistled at, it made her feel degraded.

“Thank you. You guys look pretty damn good too.” She said shyly, looking at me. I smiled at her, stepping forward and hugging her.

“You look beautiful Nat.” I whispered into her ear, hoping that the others didn’t hear. They did though and started making awing sounds. I pulled back, rolling my eyes.

“Are we ready to go?” Paul called out into the hallway, Harry following behind him. I took a look at his outfit and snorted. He looked like a rice farmer.

Although I didn’t say it, Louis did and it made everyone laugh. Harry shrugged his shoulders, thinking nothing of it. He wouldn’t though, he’s into breaking the boundaries and doing whatever he wants with his style.

Paul led us out to the van we were taking, all of us climbing in and fastening the seat belts. Natalie and I were sitting in the back as we were the ones getting out last. I laced my fingers with Natalie’s as we set off.

Everyone was nervous and excited about opening up the Teen Choice Awards but I was excited for a different reason. I had planned on doing this since the picnic I had with Natalie the other day and I knew that right now would be the perfect time.

I opened my mouth to get Natalie’s attention when Paul said that we were getting out now. I closed my mouth and sighed mentally, watching as everyone got out of the van before me.

Guess I will have to ask her later.
