I watched my old life slowly disappear as the bus went to the next stop; Louisville, Kentucky. As of now we are barely even out of Elkins so we have a good five or six hour drive.
The boys are all in the living area talking about the tour but I’m not really in the mood to talk. I’m missing my brother already and I think they can tell. That might be why they are giving me a little time to myself. There was one room on the bus and five bunks; as of now I get the room until one of the boys’ girlfriends come on tour.
All of my stuff was in the corner still in the suitcases the boys packed for me. Unfortunately, I couldn’t really unpack so I just got some things out. An old notebook, my journal, and my laptop; well to be more precise its Jake’s that he told me I could have. It was another thing my parents bought him; I on the other hand got nothing. I opened my journal up and was greeted with lyrics from my favorite songs and some that I came up with myself. I looked through them while I let the laptop come up.
I wrote a song a few months back. I remember I started just writing down what the differences between me and Clara but then it was just everything that made me hate her. But then it was the year that her ‘ex-boyfriend’ asked me out. Me being the modest girl I was said yes because I thought he actually liked me, turns out it was a bet between him and Clara. Everything in the song was about her and how we were opposite’s and she got everything she wanted or didn’t.
I was pulled from my thoughts by a knock on the door. Because I didn’t want to be rude, I lightly called for them to come in. A seemingly happy Niall walked into the room. He cautiously sat on the bed beside me. His eyes scanned the laptop screen seeing the many pictures Jake has as the backgrounds; they would switch every few seconds to a different picture. When his eyes scanned my journal I timidly shut the book closed, so he wouldn’t see any of it.
“We are stopping soon to get something to eat and the guys and I were wondering if you wanted to come in the living area and play a game until we get there.” He looked up at me not bothering to bring up my journal and for that I was grateful. I don’t think I would like to talk about it now.
“Uh sure?” It came out more like a question. He laughed a little and stood up; his hand outstretched to help me up too. I shut my laptop before taking his hand and letting him lift me up.
