Epilogue

-Natalie

I stared at Niall as he said his vows. They were meaningful and made my heart soar with excitement. We exchanged our rings and as I put his on I couldn’t help but relive my life from after he asked me to be his girlfriend.

These last few years haven’t been a breeze but there were some moments that weren’t all that bad. The fans didn’t respond to kindly to me as Niall’s girlfriend but they were very loving to the fact that I was regular. That I wasn’t small and skinny, that my stomach fell over my jeans; I was a normal girl.

Even though I felt comfortable in my skin at the time, I thought that it was time that I made a few changes in my life. I started working out more and watching what I ate at times.

In the first few months I saw the results I was looking for so I cut back on the working out. I still ate the same way as I did while working out but I did binge sometimes.

“And do you Natalie take Niall to be your husband.” I smiled at Niall.

“I do.” I said confidently. This is something I have wanted for a while now.  As the preacher finished his speech he said that Niall could now kiss the bride.

Both of us leaned in and soon I felt his lips on mine. It was a simple kiss but very passionate and very loving. I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him closer. I heard a round of cheers from our friends and family.

We pulled away, smiling. I gazed into his eyes feeling the love he had for me radiate off of his smile. The smile I feel in love with made its way onto Niall’s face as he felt the bridal court run and hug us.

-Niall

I sat on my porch, my gaze looking over my grandchildren playing in the mud. It was a sight and surely made me chuckle when my daughter told them to get out of it. As the laugh escaped my lips, I saw Amber turn around and walk my way, the children she just scolded for being in the mud not listening to her and began playing in it more.

“I don’t know what I’m going to do with those three.” She sighs as she takes a seat beside me.

“They’re three boys, what do you expect them to do.” I told her seriously. She shook her head, laughing.

“I know daddy. Why I had to have three boys that act exactly like their father is beyond me.”

“Well you better be having me a little granddaughter soon, I’m not going to live forever!” I joked with her.  She didn’t answer me and I know that I must have hit a nerve.

“I’m sorry Am. I know it still hurts.” She shook her head and wiped her eyes. That really made me feel bad; I made my own daughter cry.

“No it’s okay. It’s still a sensitive subject.” She muttered. I opened my arms for her to hug me.

Ever since Natalie, my wife and her mother, died two years ago, it’s been hard. I knew that it wasn’t her fault that she died, some things happens and we can’t roll back time. Sure, I secretly hoped it would have been me first to go but life happens.

We all miss her and wish she was back but Amber has taken it the hardest. Being the youngest out of our Horan clan she was by her mum’s side basically her whole life. She was the baby, always being treated like one by Natalie.

Amber pulled out of my hug, sniffing slightly. She sat down in the chair beside me, grabbing my hand. I gave it a gently squeeze, smiling at her.

“Daddy?” She asked, using the same name she’s used ever since she could talk.

“Yes baby girl?”

“You’re getting your wish.” She smiled back at me, surprising me.  I

I looked at her, grinning widely.

“Really? You’re pregnant?” I asked, excited for her and her husband. She nodded her head as tears of joy sprung in her eyes.

“Yeah, we were keeping it a secret until we figured out what the gender is and once we knew it was a girl we wanted you to be the first to know.”

I hugged her tightly. This meant a lot to me and I so desperately wish that Nat was here to see this for her baby. She pulled away, wiping the tears from her eyes.

“Also, we were wanting to name her after mum.” She said making tears appear in my own eyes.

“I think your mum would love that.” I choked up. I moved one hand to wipe my tears then felt the other one turn really cold. In that moment I knew Natalie was there and that she had heard everything her daughter said; she was proud.

I couldn’t wonder what she was thinking at this moment but I knew one thing for sure that she loved us and was still watching over us.

It's over. I have no words for how much I loved writing this. It's seriously come a long way. One day I will edit this and make it much better because it gets kind of confusing in some spots and I am a horrible editor but I do hope that you loved reading it as much as I loved writing it. :)

It's been amazing y'all and I can't thank you enough!

For one last time.

Stay Beautiful, <3
