There’s been only one problem with going swimming and learning how to surf; I actually didn’t bring a swim suit with me. I don’t know how to swim and I’m not really comfortable in one so I didn’t see the need in bringing one; so I didn’t.

Delilah on the other hand has made me come to a shop, earlier, down the street from our beach houses to buy a new one. At first I was okay but then when we actually got there and all I saw were these small bikinis, I started freaking out.

I, being a bigger girl, am afraid that she would want me in one of them just to embarrass myself. I’m super self-conscious about my body. Always being told you were fat and actually being bigger just lowered my self-esteem.

Somehow, though, I found one swim suit I liked. It was a one piece that covered my stomach and was all black The only thing bad about it was that the bottom made it look weird on my body. For those I bought a pair of girls board shorts so I didn’t feel that uncomfortable.

“Are we ready?” Delilah asked standing up. As I was mindlessly thinking, she was getting our boards ready to surf.

I was completely apprehensive about this whole thing. Sure we were in the water earlier, after we bought the swim suit, and she was teaching me to swim, but I just didn’t think I was good at swimming yet.

“Delilah I really don’t th-.” I started but she cut me off.

“Nonsense Nat, I’ll be right beside you and I won’t make you actually try and stand up. It’ll just be like a feel for the water.” She smiled as she handed me a board then picked hers up. I, hesitantly, took mine, looking from it to the water that was stretching down the coast.

When she started walking towards the blue water that’s when my breath caught in my throat. I was really doing this.

My legs followed her until I was waist deep in the water; my board floating beside me.

“Don’t worry too much, we’re not going out much farther than this.” She told me as she paddled up beside me. I nodded my head as I looked around. There were a lot of people around us but it still felt like we were in our own little world.

“Delilah?” I turned to ask her a question about what I was supposed to do now but found that she had paddled a little bit farther out to catch a wave that was approaching. Watching her, she made it seem so effortless; coming natural to her.

While I was watching her I hadn’t noticed that the waves were bringing me out father into the water.  That’s when I started panicking.

“DELILAH!” I yelled as I moved my head around to try and spot her. She was a little ways away from me, when she heard me she whipped her head to find me. Her eyes became huge but she wasn’t looking at me, she was staring behind me. I turned my head just in time to see a wave come crashing down on me, flinging me off the board and into the water.

My mouth filled with water as I was flung around under the water.  As I found myself coming back to the top to try to get the water out of my lungs I was just pulled back under by another wave. This one was rougher than the last and it caught me off guard.

I squeezed my eyes shut, trying to block out the pain I was feeling in my chest since I didn’t have enough oxygen left I my lungs.  The pain became too much as I felt my body drift and the pain went away as my senses went blank.

Okay so it's not very good but ya know what, I updated and I am proud of that! :) Anyway I'm hoping to have this finished before March so I am not making it a story that I don't update and when I do it's like months apart. Oh well. I hope you like this, and that you'll comment and let me know what you liked in this chapter or any of the others, or if you want to see more of someone or something. I'm open to suggestions! :)

Stay Beautiful Babes
