"Get outta the way ya stupid kid!" A man yelled to Y/n as she stood still in the middle of the aisles. "Yeah fuck you too man!" Y/n shouted back as she flipped him off. She hurriedly stormed off with anger. Everyone looked to her with confusion. "What's her problem?" Dallas asked, drawing his attention from Cherry to Y/n. "I don't know." Johnny shrugged. "I'm gonna go check on her." Dallas stated as he got up from his seat. He quickly walked down the aisle in hopes of finding her.

He walked all around the drive in trying to find Y/n. From the concession stand to the car section, yet he still couldn't find her. However, as he started heading back to the seating area with disappointment, he spotted her out of the corner of his eye. She was leaning against the corner of concession stand building, smoking a cigarette and kicking broken beer bottles out of anger.

"What's your problem?" Dallas asked as he walked up to her, the dirt grinding beneath his feet. She could only scoff. "What's my problem?!" She asked with annoyance. "Yeah. What's your problem?" Dallas asked loudly, getting a bit annoyed. "What the hells your problem?!" She asked angrily as she threw her hands up. Her hands slapped her sides as they fell. "What do you mean what's my problem?" He asked louder, more annoyed. She scoffed at his remark.

"With Cherry." She answered angrily, crossing her arms above her chest. "Who's Cherry?" He asked cluelessly, an angry expression came across his face. She laughed sarcastically at his question. "The red head!" She stated with annoyance. "Why were you flirting with her?" She asked. He chuckled in response. "Well you don't want them finding out right?" He asked with frustration. "I was just trying to hide the fact that we're dating." He stated. She could only laugh angrily.

"Well what if I want them to find out?" She said. "Why would you want that?" He asked cluelessly, his face loosening up. She put her hand to her face in annoyance as she sighed. "What if I don't want our relationship to be a secret? Ever thought of that?" She asked. He stood silently, a guilty expression on his face. "Didn't think so." She stated before she stormed off, shoving her hands in her pockets out of frustration. He sighed as he watched her walk away. He heard quiet muttered curses escape from her mouth, they grew silent as she walked out of his view.

Y/ns pov~

I could only think of going to one place in that moment. The lot. It scared me, sure, but it calmed me. It was a place where I could smoke under the foot of the big tree. A place where I could cry, no people in sight. A place where I could lay peacefully in the patchy grass and look at the stars that shined so brightly in the dark.

I began thinking more about the lot as I got nearer to it.

~

The tree branches were lining the sky and the leaves were glimmering as they shook in the chilly breeze. I was laying peacefully with Johnny under the stars, pointing out constellations. We heard occasional sounds of crickets chirping in the silence of the night. The bushes were rustling as small creatures moved through them. The train horn was echoing through the quiet abandoned lot. The ground felt cold and calming against my back. The fresh air traveled to my lungs. Time paused. Everyone and everything disappearing around me. It was peaceful and perfect.

"Look Y/n!" Johnny whisper yelled as he shot up from his laying position. He propped himself up on his elbow as he pointed to the sky. I looked to the glimmering night sky, a shooting star shot across the horizon. "That's beautiful Johnny." I said quietly as I sat up. We smiled in astonishment as it disappeared from our sight.

"I've never seen a shooting star before." Johnny stated as he shuffled around, getting lower to the ground with admiration. I smiled at his statement. "Well what do ya think?" I asked with a chippy tone of voice as I looked over to him. "It's prettier than ever I thought it'd be." He answered. My smile grew as we both fell back to the ground, admiring the stars once again.

I closed my eyes as I imagined the cold and quiet lot. It brought me peace as I walked down the dirt road. I followed my feet as I instinctively kicked a small pebble along the road. I took in a deep breath of refreshing air, calming down with every light step I took, until I finally arrived. My weight shifted as I stood still in front of the lot, watching every slight movement of the tree branches and bushes.

A small scent of tobacco glided through the air. The familiar smell of dewy grass and moist dirt surrounded me as I sat under the big tree, my knees popped as I crouched down. I sighed of relief as my body began loosening, becoming less tense. My anger cooled as I took out another cigarette from my box. I lit it slowly and took a long drag from it. I blew out a long line of smoke, feeling relieved as I closed my eyes.

I looked to the ground and picked at the grass. I leaned my head against the tree as I focused closely on the blades of grass sitting in the palm of my hand. I spread them out and counted them, trying to distract myself. I stared at my hand, spacing out as I thought about the argument me and Dallas had.

All that I told him was true, I hated the fact that he flirted with Cherry "so they wouldn't know". I wanted everyone to know about us, that I was Dallas's girl. I guess that wouldn't happen. I didn't know exactly what to do with Dallas, I loved the guy, I could never break it off with him or anything like that.

As I thought about it more, I felt a small tear fall from my eyelid. It slowly trailed down my face, falling to the ground as it left my chin. I snapped out of my thoughts as I watched it hit the dirt. I looked around and my eyes darted down to my other hand, the cigarette clenched between my fingers. I brought it to my lips and took another long drag, once again closing my eyes and sighing of relief.

With my eyes still closed, I began imagining what may have happened if I hadn't yelled at him, if I stayed quiet and let it happen. I would probably be walking home with Dally, Pony, and Johnny, a big smile spread across my face. My hands shoved deep into my pockets, my shoe laces clacking against the concrete. I longed for that happy feeling. All of it just happened so quickly.

Loneliness came rushing over me like a wave of pain as I thought more. Tears began streaming down my face and I wiped them away impatiently. I banged my head against the trunk of the tree out of sadness. "Stupid stupid stupid." I repeated quietly to myself.

I took another drag my cigarette, and blew it out. Then another, blowing it out again, then another and another and another, until I finally stopped crying. Before I could take another drag, I heard something or someone coming towards me. My eyes darted over in the direction of the sound, a tall dark figure came closer to me. I stayed alert and examined the figure as it took steps towards me. I wanted to leave out of fear, but couldn't, something about the figure seemed different, as if I had to stay.

It kept coming closer and closer, inching its way towards me with every second. I heard the breathing of the mysterious man as he came closer. My breaths became quick and my heart began racing. He came closer, until he was only inches away from me. I squinted my eyes as I tried to make out who it was. My eyes widened as I realized who had been only inches away from me.
