Paige's POV:

As we were doing that project, I was almost ready with my part, so I decided to take a little break.

"I'm going to get some food," I told the others and stood from the dining table we were sitting at.

"There's some leftovers," Olivia suddenly said, not looking up from her notebook, obviously focused on her work."You can choose whatever you like," she smiled under her nose.

"Thanks,"i said as I was going to the kitchen.
I opened the fridge to look for the leftovers Liv told me about and found some spaghetti bolognese. Delicious.

I got it, closed the fridge, took a fork, and turned to go back to the dining room when I accidentally bumped into an unfamiliar girl.

"Ow!" she exclaimed. "Watch where you're going!"

"Oh, I'm really sorry," I apologised and stood up from the floor, carefully keeping the spaghetti of falling.

"And who are you again?" she snapped with an unpleasant tone and strange spark in her eyes.

"Paige Lee," I returned with a smile and raised my hand for her to shake it. "Pleasure to meet you."

"I wish I could say that too," she answered and moved my hand with the help of hers.

After this a little too rude comment, we fell into an uncomfortable and awkward silence. We were standing face to face, torso in front of torso. Her eyes went up and down me a few times, but her strange expression and spark in the eyes didn't go away.

"Oh, uhm," I decided to break the silence. "Did your friend Ava enjoy the World Cup?" I asked the first thing that came to my mind, not the best thing to say suddenly if you ask me.

"What are you talking about?" she said abruptly. "I don't have a friend named Ava. And I also don't watch football!"I stared at her in complete shock, not knowing what to say.

"I-I," I stuttered, "I must've gotten it all wrong," I stuttered again. "Bye,"I excused myself and just started walking down the corridor to the dining room, leaving the girl behind me without giving her the information that even I don't have.

"What just happened?!" was the first thought that came to my mind. "Liv told us that the whole situation with Ava was a misunderstanding. Because of her sister. Because of that message. Because of her sister's friend. Because of the shared Instagram account," I just got myself even more confused. "And most importantly, why did she lie to us?" I just didn't know what more to think and sat on my chair beside the others.

"So you're done with the theoretical part?" Liv asked me, and I nodded showing her she was right. "Then, could you please go to my room and bring me my laptop and its charger because I'll need after a few?" I just nodded again, stood up, and headed to her room.

As I opened the door, I could see a room worth going in. If there was a prize for decoration, Liv would've won it for sure!

She had a beautiful white desk with a comfortable chair in the same colour. There were many shelves with any kinds of things, fake lianas of leaves, posters of different kind of information, a lamp made of salt, an iPad, and lost of candles.

Her bed also was mainly white (only the covers and some of the pillows, though), but the frame was black, and there were two gray pillows. My astonishment came from the little lights she had above her bed in the ceiling. Even though they weren't on, I could imagine what the picture was when it was night. Truly magical. There was also a shelf above her bed, but again there were fake lianas and a frame with pictures of different natural patterns.

The real amazement, however, came from the only left corner in the room, which had a bookshelf with so much books in so many different colours, that I almost got dizzy. The bookshelf and the wall beside it had lights, and the wall, singularly, had lianas. Beside the bookshelf there was also a very comfortably looking chair in white and creamy colours, and...Oh, her computer was there! I reached to it and grabbed it, but I still had to find the charger.

With the company of the computer in my right arm, I started looking at the floor, the bed, the desk, the drawer, which was beside the desk, but I couldn't find it.

"Ugh, where would that charger be?!" I got so frustrated that I said that out loud, but suddenly got the idea to look under her bed. That's a place many people underestimate when it comes to finding things (I speak from personal experience).

I put the laptop on her bed, laid on the floor, so I could look best, and then my eyes couldn't believe it!
