Olivia's POV:

"As you already know, the tryouts will take place during the spring vacation in April," Blake said for the hundredth time, and I just wanted to punch her in the face. I was already nervous, and she was making it even worse for me.

You see, I got that feeling something is not right. Like when you know that everything is fine, but you still feel like there is a thing you don't know about. Something that may hurt you. And even worse. Something that may hurt your friends and loved ones. Something I knew was there but didn't know what it was exactly.

I know that it sounds strange and all things of the kind, but it was true. Like, there was something there. Someone that was waiting for me. For us.

The only thing I was scared of was seeing Blake and Paige getting hurt because of me. They didn't deserve something like this. I didn't even deserve to be their friend.

The last thing I wanted was for them to be harmed by something. Or someone. I just couldn't brush off that feeling. It was haunting me from the inside. Like on the second day of the World Cup, but this time it was in...a negative way. I just couldn't-

"Liiiivv," Blake interrupted my way of thought as always. It was like a habit. "What we're you thinking about?" she looked at me with an insisting look. Paige looked at me from Blake's shoulder.

"Oh, uhm," I was caught a little off guard. "Nothing," was the automatic answer. I don't need them to know that I felt something that I didn't even know. I mean, it'll be ridiculous. They are so happy and in such a good mood. No, I won't let them feel worried. About anything and everything. It was my duty to do it. As a friend of theirs.

"Okay..." Blake continued, and I felt that she had certain suspicions of what may have caused my unusual mood. She couldn't have known what exactly I was thinking, though. Or could she? "We are only waiting for Mr. Nicolas, and we can start," she said the obvious thing as we sat to put on our cleats.

"Can you believe it?" Paige said, taking her football boots from the bag that was on the floor, and touched the grass as always. She loved that, didn't she? "There is only one month and a half to the tryouts," she finally revealed what she was talking about.

"Oh, don't remind me," I decided to distract myself from my thoughts. But that feeling didn't go away... "I try to forget about it," I smiled, and Paige chuckled. "You are laughing because I'm the only one that is going to try out for the team," I focused on my cleats, but I felt their eyes on my back as I leaned down to tie the shoelaces. "What?" I looked at them, my head a little tilted to their side.

"Didn't we tell you?" Blake had a mischievous smile on her face. Like always. I wanted to roll my eyes, but the thing that stopped me was the exactly same expression written on Paige's face. It wasn't typical for her. What was going on?

"We are going to tryout too!" Paige couldn't hold it in herself anymore. Or so I thought. I was shocked. What?

"What?" I vocalised my inner question. "What do you mean?" it was a dumb question, I know.

"Since we are training at the same pace with you, we'll try to make it in the team," Blake explained. I was shocked. The good type of I-am-shocked mood.

That's why I couldn't hold anything anymore and hugged them both. That was an amazing opportunity not only for me to have some friends around, but also for them to expand and develop their skills even more. Both in playing and coaching (which is basically playing without playing) for Blake and being a referee (is there a word refereeing?) for Paige. "But still," she continued. "We are not that good as you are," she said modestly.

"Yeah, same," I looked at them with an are-you-serious-right-now look. What were they even talking about? I mean...You haven't been present to a training session with them. They were phenomenal. Like, the best of the best.

"That's not true," I answered. They just decided to ignore my response and continue putting their cleats on. I couldn't actually response because because I got interrupted by-

"What's up, team?" we heard a familiar voice from near in front of us. I looked up only to see that it was who I'd been expecting.

"Hey, Mr. Nicolas," I greeted alongside my two friends. "How are you?" this one was my own question to him as the others were still fixing their footwear.

"Yeah, I'm fine," he had a big smile on his face. I bet it got to do something with the Ms. Harper situation. I made a mental note to ask him after  training ends. "Let's get started, shall we?" he asked as he saw Paige and Blake standing up, the "little mountains" of their cleats getting hidden somewhere between the different grass blades.

Ava's POV:

I got it! I got the video that will be the proof of my claim. The video of those three (four) fools training. I got the pretext to ruin their everyday living. I got a pretext to manipulate them. I had a pretext to just get rid of them forever.

My father will finally understand that he is not doing enough to prevent Paige Lee, Blake Campbell, and Olivia Davies from succeeding. But I will. In whatever they want to become better. With or without his help.

A/N-Hey, I know that I'm saying this for the second time, but I wanted to know if the story is boring? I mean, I'm in the fighting writer's block stage, so it's a little harder, and it takes a lot more effort than before. Also, did my writing get worse? In terms of style, I mean. However, I hope you like it so far, and I'll put the effort in getting over this part of the writer's destiny.
