Evie's POV:
You could imagine my shock when I faced the man I'd been running away from for the past 10, almost 11, months. He stood there, an obnoxious grin on his face as he approached his desk. Its not even meant to be his desk, its Nic's.
I've been finding her absence hard for the past few weeks, having no one to talk to makes my days go by fast. Now, my days are going to feel even longer with Joseph sat right next to me. Immediately, the tormenting started as he wouldn't stop glaring at me.
"What are you looking at, you freak?" I insulted, looking in his direction.
"How does it feel dating a singer? His dick bigger than his ego?" he laughed.
"His ego's quite small, so yes his dick's massive." I bite back, "I'm getting back to work, if you have anymore questions, ask me when I can be arsed. And that's never."
"Never lost your bite, did you?" he teased.
"Joseph, I'm not putting up with your shite. Not today." I said, standing from my desk and making my way to Marvin's office.

"Okay fine, then I quit. I'll save you the struggle." I huffed, slamming my lanyard down onto his desk.
"Are you sure about this, Evelyn? Have you anywhere to go?" he said, sickly sweet voice on him, like he cared when I knew he actually didn't. He just wanted to get into my head- I'm young and that's how he likes them.
"Aye, I've been planning this for a while, but this whole thing's pushed me to my tipping point. I'm out, Marvin. Thanks for everything." I shook his hand before grabbing my things and leaving.
Stepping into the winter air was terrible, especially after that day I'd just experienced. The only good thing was that it numbed me a little, helping me forget what was going on inside my head. But, I couldn't go home now as Sam would be suspicious, so I just walked around a little.
I needed to grab some ket for mam and dad for Christmas, to finish their hampers I make them as their Christmas gift, so I headed into the Co-op. Its easy to remember what sweets to get them when I've been doing the same present for them since I had first moved out.
Once I had a basket full of presents and necessities, I headed to the tills. I hated the self serves as I could never grasp how to use them without doing something wrong- I struggle with the simplest of instructions. The girl who served me looked young, and was in awe as I stepped forward from being in the queue.
"Wow." she spluttered, "You're Evelyn Victoria, right?"
"That I am, you alreet hinny?" I reply, a grin spreading from cheek to cheek.
"I can't believe I'm meeting you, in my work clothes in all." she stuttered, "Can I ask a question?"
"Go ahead." I respond.
"How does it feel to know your dating someone who might be a Brit award winner?" she asked.
What the fuck? Sam's been shortlisted for a Brit and he hadn't thought to let me know, great communication, Sam. Words cannot describe how pissed off I was at him, my heart pounded and my head went dizzy. How was I meant to reply to this girl's question? Here's where the acting classes came into play.
