Will We Talk?

23- Tired

A lovely night of slumber was soon interrupted by the cries of one of the babies. Sam had rolled over placing a pillow over his head as an attempt to block out the wails of the children. So, that left me to go and see to them.

Once one started crying, that started the other off, then that woke Sam up and he started complaining straight away, unaware of his surroundings. It was quite funny to see him act like that, especially after he stuffed his head in the pillows like a toddler.

"Turn it off." he complained, rolling around the bed like a footballer gone down.

"Sam, these are live children, I can't switch them on and off babe." I chortled, rocking Zara back and forth.

"What?" he sat up, eyeing me with the baby in hand, then he put his head in his hands laughing at himself, "Forgot they were even here."

"That's reassuring." I replied, gesturing for Sam to pick Zander up, and he did.

"Definitely not ready for kids like." he informed, "Not willing to give my mornings with you up quite yet."

"No, you don't want your sleep to be interrupted." I chuckled, walking towards the kitchen to get the milk ready.

"Well, that too, aye." he responded, following behind me.

The TV was switched on and volume put on low while I got the kids sorted, Sam keeping one preoccupied while I changed the other.

"What ungodly time are we awake at then, Sammy?" I ask, getting back from feeding Zander his milk.

"It's currently 7:08." he explained, half asleep with Zara laying on his chest.

It was nice to see fans of mine and Sam unknowingly suggest that we are together, it caused for a bit of a laugh between Sam and I. As much as I claim to hate social media, its a great way to see what others think of you. I love it when the keyboard warriors pipe up, its fucking magic.

8:15- Yvonne and Bailey arrived at the flat, looking fresher than I'd seen in the past 4 months. When we opened the door, the two of them just laughed at us as we stood with minimal energy and massive eye bags.

"So, I see yous have lasted the night successfully." Bailey laughed.

"The night, aye, all the rest, I divnt think it." I sighed.

"Where's my babies then?" Bailey asked, taking Zander from my arms and into his.

"And he was complaining about not having babysitters, couldn't get him to shut up about the kids." Yvonne complained, retrieving Zara from Sam.
