"Hey! Fatty Zheng! Why stop drinking?" I asked him and poured alcohol to his glass.
"ahm! Brother Yi! Im just checking the group chat that added me just now. Our middle school rich second generation classmate He Xintong were planning to have a class reunion because the goddess Xia Xue was already back from studying abroad." he said while looking at me cautiously.
I gasped as I heard that Xia Xue are back now but I control my face immediately as to not show any emotion and said while glaring at Fatty Zheng,
"Ohh! Okay? Why are you looking at me like that?"
"It's your ex daughter-in-law you know! She's back! What is your plan?
"What is there to plan?" I asked back and drink a full cup of alcohol.
"Do you not care if He Xintong pursue your goddess, Brother Yi?" asked by Fatty Zheng while looking at me and to my glass.
"Why should I care? Like what you said, she's my ex!" I said and glared at him again to calm myself and poured alcohol to my glass.
"Do you not have feelings for her anymore? Afterall, She's your daughter-in-law for a whole 5 years! If not for your situation back then, I think she's still yours!" Fatty Zheng said with sympathy.
"Fatty Zheng, What happened back then was both our decision, it's not because of what happened to my parents. She can to pursue whatever career she wanted. And I supported her, I don't want to hold her back! ^_^ and maybe she's already have someone now!" I smiled even though I feel that my heart hurts like it was clutched by someone.
Fatty Zheng stand up angrily and said,
"No! Impossible! its' only 2 years since when you and her break up. And I still remember her lines back then," He coughed and recite verbatim,
"Yi Chen, I only need 2 years to finish my study, So you must wait for me. I promise I will be back in your arms!" he coughed again and continue his speech.
"That was her line back then, she's a dog if she do not fulfill her promise!" He angrily sat back again on his seat and drank the alcohol on his glass.
"Are you her Ex or me? Hahaha! I do not remember her lines back then as good as you!" I laughed hard and poured his glass with alcohol and as I bring my cup near to him and said,
"Cheers for the new life brings by the morning sun!"
"Cheers!" ^_^
"But Brother Yi! don't change the subject, Do you really have no feelings for her anymore? Be honest!" He asked me while opening a new bottle of alcohol.
I was taken aback by his question. Do I really not have any feelings for Xia Xue? or Im just suppressing myself because of my situation? but now that I have the system. Do I really need to be so reserved with my decision? Why not pursue for my happiness while making my family happy as well?
Right! Why Not? The System is with me. I only need to cherish the things that the system gives and make sure that Im not taking it for granted.
