You were so nervous for Ruben to finally meet your parents, you had put this off so much but you knew you finally had to agree to it. They were so excited to meet him after hearing so much about him.
"Ready" you smiled as you took your hand into Ruben's as you made your way to the front door.
"Why am I so nervous, I have had other boyfriends. But this feels different" you laughed as you knocked on the door and your parents greeted you both.
"This is Ruben, meet my mum and dad" you smiled as your mum grabbed him in a firm friendly hug as your dad gave him a big manly handshake.
"Lovely to meet you both, I have heard a lot about you. It is lovely to finally meet you" he greeted them both as your mum took him into the living room as you sat down.
"Can we get you a drink Ruben?" your father asked as Ruben nodded.
"Yes thank you" he smiled.
"Ruben, this would be absolutely perfect to show you" you watched as you mum just had to go and get the baby photos.
"Mummm, you don't need to bring those out every time someone new comes into the house. Just please" you cringed as you watched her open it.
"Don't worry darling, I won't be willing you to embarrass you just yet" you laughed as you tried to hide your face.
"Thanks" you bluntly replied.
"I wanted to show you some photos of y/n, when she was in the football team" your mum laughed as Ruben glanced over to you as you felt your cheeks go bright red.
"Oh she is so cute, shame what happened to her" Ruben teased
"Cheeky" you winked as you watched as he watched the home videos of you playing football.
"I didn't realise you had that much skill babe, probably better than me" Ruben smirked, teasing you once again.
"I bet I am" you smirked as your mum and dad left the room to go and sort the dinner out.
"See that wasn't as bad as you expected" Ruben laughed as he pressed a kiss on your head gently.
