Third Person POV

From [Y/N]'s journal ~

November 4th, 1925

Maria's third child is going to be born this week. I'm going to her place together with Olga, Tatiana and Anastasia. I'll be by her side. I should have been from the start when each of the kids was being born, but everyone knows why ... I asked Alexei not to be overprotective and tried to convince him that pregnancy is not an illness... Unsuccessfully, even though the tsarina agreed with me...

[Y/N] finished writing the sentence just in the moment, when Anastasia went into her room, of course, again without knocking.
" [Y/N/n] could you kindly hurry up? We're going to be late for the train!" I'm coming, I'm coming..." [Y/N] closed the journal with a sigh and put it into the drawer of the desk.
She stood up and walked out of the room together with her youngest sister in-law. " You're not draining me this time?" She joked.
" I'm not draining pregnant women."
" Oh, my! I've got an immunity!" She smiled sarcastically, rolling  her eyes playfully then shook her head, laughing. " All right, let's go already."

" Please ,be careful, don't overwork yourself, sleep well and don't..."
" Don't carry anything heavy." [Y/N] finished for Alexei with a smile. " You've already sad that yesterday and two times today..." She pretended to count.
" I can't help it that I'm worried..." He sighed and she wrapped her arms around his neck. " I'll be fine, Alyosha...I promise."
The tsarina and her husband came up to them with a calming smiles on their faces. " Don't worry, son. Everything's going to be alright." Nicholas assured.
" And if anything, Olenka, Taniushka and Nastya will take care of her." Alexandra added.
" I'm going with you." Alexei demanded.
" You're not." The tsar shook his head. " You, young man, have a job to do."
" But..."
" No ' buts'."
Alexei sighed in defeat. " OK..." Then turned to his sister. " I'm counting on you, Nastya. Take care of her." He glanced at [Y/N], who let out a quiet sighed and laughed softly, shaking her head as Anastasia hugged her from the side. " Don't worry, little brother! All of us will take a good care of your [Y/N/n]~ You have my word."

Few days later at Maria's house.

The birth was terribly difficult.. . Mashka have been in labor for 5 hours now...
" Oh, no..." The doctor mumbled and the rest of them also got concerned as despite the end of labor baby's crying still wasn't heard. Maria began to panic and Anastasia grabbed doctor's shoulder." What's happened?!"
" I'm so sorry... The baby choked on the peace of umbilical cord.... There's nothing I can do..." The man lowered his head. All of the girls gasped in horror and poor Mashka began to sob hysterically.
" Out of my way!" [Y/N] shouted suddenly pushing the doctor away. Everyone looked at her in disbelief as she grabbed the baby, that wasn't able to breathe. "[ Y/N]!What the hell are you doing?!" Tatiana scolded her as the young woman held the child by a leg upside down. " I know what I'm doing!" She insisted and then lightly hit its back. " Come on..." She mumbled, but when nothing happened, she repeated it once again. Suddenly, she saw something falling onto the floor. It was that peace of umbilical cord...
Soon enough, much to everyone's relief, they heard a crying sound, that meant, the newborn wasn't having problems with breathing anymore, so, there was no danger to life. [Y/N] quickly changed the baby's possision and held it in her arms. She sighed in relief as all of OTMA looked at her in shock, then they all began to laugh and cry at the same time. " [Y/N/n], darling! You saved my baby!" Tears were streaming down Maria's face as she looked at her with as much gratitude as her beautiful blue eyes could express.
" How did you do that, [Y/N/n]?!" Olga asked in disbelief.
" I've read about it somewhere.... People in Middle Ages handled the difficulties with birth in much ways, including that..."
" You're amazing!" Tatiana grabbed her hands.
" You sike! " Anastasia hit the doctor lightly on the shoulder. " You're the one who should've came up with the idea!"
" This... This was unethical!" The man tried to defend himself. " Mrs Romanova shouldn't have done that!"
" So should she let my daughter die?!" Maria whisper-shouted, not to wake up her newborn girl.
" [Y/N] did your goddamn job!" Anastasia glared at the man." You screwed up and that's all!" The 'Big Pair' nodded at their younger sister's words and [Y/N] stepped forward." I'm aware that I took a great risk to say the least, but isn't it what doctor should do? Take every chance to save a life?"
" Excuse me, ma'am, however there is something called ethics."
" Do the ethics say you have to let a child die, even if there's a chance to safe their life?" [Y/N]'s voice was slightly trambling, but she was doing her best to keep calm."
" Are you trying to make me feel guilty?!"
" First of all watch your words. You're talking to tsarevich's wife. " Tatiana warned. " Second, [Y/N] is not trying to make you feel guilty. She is trying to defend herself, because for some unknown reason, you are trying to make HER feel guilty."
" Please, sir... I ... I know It wasn't entirely right, but I had to try. It's my niece, after all..."
" You don't have to apologize for anything , [Y/N]."  Olga put a hand on her shoulder.
" It's OK." She shook her head." I would like to talk to doctor alone, can we, sir?"
" Of course." The man agreed , even though, surprised.
