Still a dream

,, And what if I decide to go home?"

Suddenly, a small golden key appeared in front of me. It was very similar to the one for grandpa's basement.

,, Take this key and say ,I want to go back '. "

I quickly grabbed the key, but shouted
,, I'm staying!"

Everything started to go round and round making me feel dizzy...

End of the dream

I woke up in the same bed I fell asleep in, but I felt a small peace of metal in my hand. It was the key!

First part of the plan C. worked!

Plan A :
- Changing the Russian people's situation for the better, so they cancel the revolution.

Plan B:
Go to the Siberia and help the white army to get to Yekaterinburg earlier and be on time to help the Romanovs to escape.

Plan C: Use the key and take them home with me just before the execution.

My thoughts were interrupted by a terrified scream that echoed through the halls...

Alexei!

I jumped off the bed and rushed out of the room as fast as I could...

Third person POV

[ Y/N] ran through the hallway with her heart thundering, afraid for her friend.
Suddenly she spotted a one door that was slightly open and  rushed towards it.
The room turned out to be Alexei's bedroom.
Nicholas and Alexandra turned hearing someone coming in.

,, [Y/N], sweetheart, what are you doing here?" Nicholas asked concerned.
,, I heard the screaming and I got worried..."She answered quietly.
The man sighed and gestured for her to come in.

Alexei had a nightmare. And he couldn't calm down afterwards.
[Y/N glanced at him with sadness as she whispered: ,, Maybe I could help...?"

Both of them looked at her as Alexandra  sighed softly:
,, You think you can?"
„ I have bad dreams sometimes,too...I suppose I could try...."
,, All right..."

She came closer and sat on the edge of the bed. ,, Good evening." A soft whisper could be heard from her mouth. ,, Can I talk to you?" The quiet and patient tone of her voice helped slightly to calm down.
„Yes..." he agreed, making her smile gently.
...
,, So, what was it about?"
,, It?"
,, The dream. What was it about?"

After a long moment of silence the boy finally spoke:
„They killed us..."
,, Who?" She remained calm, unable to know that it impressed him. She was seven years old after all...
„ I don't know..." He mumbled.
She nodded as Alexei spoke again:

„I'm not afraid of death, [Y/N]... But I'm afraid what they're gonna do to us..."
Suddenly, girl's face got serious as she looked directly into his eyes.

„ I will not let anyone to hurt you. Any of you." She placed her hand on his. „ I promise."

„ [ Y/N]..." Nicholas cut in, a little stunned by her attitude.
She turned to the royal couple and smiled. Her voice confident,yet calm.
As she repeated „ Yes, Your Majesty's, I promise."

Only tsarina spoke up  in that moment...
„ Thank you..." was all she could say. Her husband and son nodded slowly.

„Will it be easier to sleep now?"
[Y/N] asked Alexei. The boy smiled gently. „ I guess so... Thank you..."
