Third Person POV

From [Y/N]'s journal ~

October 2nd, 1925

Nastya got married yesterday. I'm so happy for both, her and Dimitri ! Although I couldn't fully enjoy the party, because I'm getting worried about my health.. . I'm tired all the time and I'm feeling sick every single morning, even more, when a certain event of every month didn't bother to arrive since September...  I hope it's not the same as auntie Sonia had...

[Y/N] closed her journal with a sigh. If you ever wondered why doesn't she have any cousins from her aunt's side, well, that's because Sonia was sterile... She couldn't have any children and this also turned out when she was in her twenties... But her husband accepted it and loved her no matter what. [Y/N] knew that Alexei would act the same, still she didn't want it to be this way...
She assumed that whole the stress coused by all this speculation is the reason, why she's been feeling that way every single morning, but surely she would have calmed down, if she visited a doctor...

"Your Majesty...?" [Y/N] spoke quietly, opening the door to Alexandra's room, after hearing the permission to come in. The tsarina wanted to see her for some reason. She didn't know what...
" You wanted to see me?"
" Oh, yes, [Y/N/n] please, come in!" Alexandra invited her inside cheerfully. " Actually there is someone else, who'd like to see you..."
[Y/N] was even more confused as she walked further into the room, but soon the confusion turned into a shock, when she saw a very familiar person standing there...
" Carla?!"
" [Y/N]!" Both women ran up to each other and hugged tightly.
" I haven't seen you in years! How have you been and what actually are you doing here?! I thought you guys had your place in Berlin!"
" We had, but Gilbert got a better job offer in St Petersburg and the children are loving it here. Besides, I would like to come back to work as well...
" I don't think I'll need so much help I'm already an adult, but it'll be always nice to have you around."[Y/N] laughed. "So you have more than one child?"
" Two. Manolo and Mathilde. Manolo is older by 3 years."
" I see..."
" Maybe I'll leave you girls alone so you can talk in peace." The tsarina chained in. " I'll be in the garden if anyone needs me." After that, she walked out of the room and two friends were left alone...

[Y/N] told Carla about her health problems, to her surprise, the lady-in-waiting had a smirk on her face all along. She let it slide however.
" So, I know that your husband is a doctor, do you think he could tell what's going on...?
" Oh, dear [Y/N/n]... Even I can tell it~" The young woman looked at her, confused, making her chuckle slightly. " But OK. I'll bring him. It'll be easier for you if you hear it from a person who is trusted in health matters...."
These last words scared [ Y/N] even more...

When few hours later, Carla's husband came to check on [Y/N], the young woman was so afraid of the diagnosis, that she told Alexandra about everything and asked her to be by her side. The tsarina answered with " Now and then as well , wich made her daughter-in-law even MORE confused. She had a feeling that literally everyone knows what is going on, but her...

The Empress, Anna and Carla waited for the news from doctor, alongside [Y/N].He was silent for quite a while.
" Sir... Do you have any diagnosis...?" Young woman's voice was slightly shakily as she prepared herself for the worst..
The man, however, smiled brightly. " Well, Your Highness... All I can say... Congratulations."
" Ha! I knew it!" Carla cheered.
" What is she talking about...?" [Y/N] looked at Alexandra and her lady-in-waiting.
" You're with child, dear." The tsarina explained softly, holding her hand.  Princess's eyes wided in shock as she looked at the doctor for confirmation. He nodded. " That's true, ma'am. It's the beginning of second month if I counted correctly."
" I'm pregnant..." She whispered in disbelief then her eyes lit up as a smile appeared on her face. She was so happy! Not only she was healthy, but she was also carrying a new life inside her... It was wonderful...
" But... How am I going to tell Alexei? And everyone else...?" [Y/N] got a little scared again, but both, Alexandra and Carla put their hands on her shoulders.
" Don't worry, [Y/N/n]. We're always there for you. Everything's going to be alright..." Her friend assured as the Empress nodded." I'm sure, everyone will be thrilled about the news. Especially Alyosha. "
" You better be right..." The young woman mumbled as the tsarina turned to the doctor. " What are your recommendations, sir.
" It's very early pregnancy, the more we should be careful about it.  The mother should have good night sleep, regular, healthy meals, no carrying anything heavy, actually any physical effort should be limited to minimum..."
" That's a lot to know..." [Y/N] mumbled." Maybe I should take notes?"
" No worries, dear, I'm taking them..." Anna assured making the soon to be mother laugh. It was a joke, but Alexandra's lady-in-waiting was literally taking notes of what Carla's husband said...
" And the MOST important thing: No stress." He looked at [Y/N] seriously.
" Don't worry doctor, we'll take care of everything." Alexandra smiled as Anna and Carla nodded. Hearing that, Gilbert also returned a smile. " So, if don't have any more questions, I'll be going. " He packed his things and hugged his wife, before leaving. " If anything happens, please contact me, Your Highnesses. Congratulations, once again. Goodbye. " He bowed and left.
Now only to tell everyone...
