Book 1: Sakura Heart (Kiba Love Story)

Chapter 9

Third Person's P. O. V:

The battle between the Mist and Leaf ninja rages on. Sounds of clashing blades could be heard while Jutsus are sent back and forth.

Kyo swings his katana but misses the brown haired woman as she jumps backwards.

Kyo pursues her with an impassive face as he repeatedly and viciously swings his katana. He'd always come so close to landing a hit on her.

"Lava Style: Crimson Flame Jutsu," Says the woman, holding out her right hand. A ball of lava forms and she shoots out fiery projectiles. Kyo was able to dodge some but one hits his right shoulder. He grunts loudly at the pain when it explodes in a red flame burst.

Kyo grits his teeth but catches his footing and continues after his target, who just smirks at him.

"Lava Release: Lava Flow," Says the brunette, doing hand signs. Facing the green haired boy, she shoots out bright orange lava from her mouth and it becomes much bigger than the boy himself.

It envelopes him and she stops on a branch, smirking to herself.

"Ah, that was easy," The woman mutters in satisfaction.

"Don't let your guard down just yet!" Snaps a voice from behind. The female Mist ninja gasps as she whirls around to find Kyo hovering in the air before a circle of swords. "Hidden Leaf Style Kenjutsu: Hazy Moon Night!"

Then he launches himself at the brown eyed woman with his sword pulled back. She cries out as his katana strikes her right arm and he lands just behind her.

"You little brat! You'll pay for that," She snaps, thinking she must've hit a Clone or Substitution. "Lava Release: Crimson Flame Jutsu!" She reforms the ball and shoots out flaming projectiles.

Kyo was careful to dodge them this time, his green eyes glued to his opponent.

Kyo jumps forwards while doing hand signs and forms two Shadow Clones. They each run to either side of his opponent and the three of them leap into the air.

"Hidden Leaf Style Kenjutsu: Dance of the Crescent Moon," Says Kyo before all three of them lunge for his opponent.

The woman is unable to dodge as three katanas come down on her in a crescent shape and she screams.

The fighting pauses where Sakuya and her remaining teammates are at the sound of a woman's scream.

"That sounded like Nori," Says Sakuya's opponent wearily.

From stop Homura, Sakuya smirks, "And from the sounds of it, Kyo is beating her."

"No way!" Snaps the Blue Flame Art user, shaking her head vigorously. "There's no way that boy could've defeated Nori and her Lava Style!"

"Sucks to be her," Mutters Ren. "Kyo is one of our best young fighters!"

"Shut up!"

"Water Style: Hand of Waves Jutsu," Says Ren's opponent. Ren whips his head around in time to see water shoot out from the woman's hand towards him.

Ren manages to dodge and the fighting resumes.

Sakuya does a set of hand signs and says, "Fire Style: Flower Viewing Festival Jutsu." Holding up her left hand, Sakuya creates a cherry blossom tree out of fire behind her. The petals then drift off of it and float towards her opponent.

When the petals hit the blonde woman, she cries out as they burn her.

Sakuya does another set of hand signs. "Water Style: Roaring Lion Wave!"
